The Harbour Inn – SeatonHad an early dinner, sat outside, which was a nice relaxing setting, great food, excellent service. Live locally so will definitely be back.
The Harbour Inn – SeatonExcellent lunch although not all things on menu were available. Service slow, but we could only see two people serving so that was probably the reason. Very charming people wonderful setting and an obviously good chef.
The Harbour Inn – SeatonLovely cosy atmosphere, great service and delicious food.
The Harbour Inn – SeatonOur booking somehow got lost in the system but there was a table available so it wasn’t a problem. The service was polite and friendly. The Scotch Egg (duck egg) was absolutely delicious.
The Harbour Inn – SeatonWe love the pub. the food was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. I wish we had this pub where we are from.
The Harbour Inn – SeatonThe staff were very attentive at The Harbour and the food was superb. Would definitely recommend and will be returning soon
The Harbour Inn – SeatonWe drove past The Harbour Inn a couple times on our way to visit the seafront town of Seaton from our lodge and it looked very appealing from the road. After investigating the menu on the website I found the booking very easy with lots of convenient times for a Wednesday evening . On arrival we were invited to take any table we we wanted, but the weather was so lovely we opted to sit outside in the large garden. I was slightly worried the service might be affected if not indoors, but the two young ladies who served us through out were very attentive it was impressive one apologised for a slight minor delay, but I must say that coming out to check with us that our meal was exceptional in my mind. The food we ordered came out hot and cooked perfectly, we both loved the arancini (best of all); and the duck scotch egg and scallops as our small plate starters, all were surprisingly good sized portions. The cod was fresh and very tasty, loved the light batter! My husband was impressed by the quality of the beef (rump) steak. Thank you for a great experience will definitely will recommend to anyone I book a to travel this side of Devon.
The Harbour Inn – SeatonVery poor food. Service pleasant and friendly
The Harbour Inn – SeatonWe ate on a Monday evening, and had a disappointing meal. Firstly, the menu is nowhere near as extensive as shown on the website - no ‘catch of the day’ specials board, for example. The food didn’t look anywhere near as attractive as that on the website either. My partner and I both opted for the pan fried hake with a caper and butter sauce. Well, if the chef is Michelin trained (mentioned on the website) I can only assume it was his day off and someone who doesn’t know how to cook fish was standing in for him. The skin on the fish was flabby and greasy rather than crispy, and the fish was unpleasantly greasy too. Also, the advertised caper and butter sauce was missing. We pointed this out to one of the servers, who came back a few minutes later with two pots containing some partially melted butter with some capers plonked in it - that is not a sauce! We decided to have a dessert and shared a blackcurrant frangipane tart. That was ok, but nothing special, and did nothing to raise our spirits after an extremely disappointing main course. To be fair to the waitress, she did knock the dessert off of the bill due to the issues with the main, but I’d much rather have had a well cooked meal and paid for everything. In conclusion, I would say that the food was way overpriced for the mediocre quality of fare provided, and I can’t imagine we’d visit again.
The Harbour Inn – SeatonA delicious lunch enjoyed by everyone, excellent service. It was much appreciated that you provided a room of just the right size for the exclusive use of our party of eleven people.
The Harbour Inn – SeatonLovely cosy pub. Excellent food. Staff were all very friendly & welcoming. Definitely recommend.
The Harbour Inn – SeatonVery nice atmosphere and friendly service. Lovely food
The Harbour Inn – SeatonStunning meal!
The Harbour Inn – SeatonThe Mussels were as good as I remember having anywhere although a little bread would have been welcome; shame to waste the delicious sauce. The Lobster however was a different story. Sadly, it was overcooked. The tail meat was really quite tough. At £48 for two half Lobsters I expected better. Chef’s night off, apparently.
The Harbour Inn – SeatonVisited Harbour Inn last Tuesday. Good service and nice meal which came out promptly and hot! Would definitely recommend
The Harbour Inn – SeatonBeautiful old pub with many original features All the staff were very friendly and helpful, one of our party had a number of food intolerances, they went out of their way to make sure she was catered for. The food was lovely, especially the fish pie. We will come again.
