The Castle Inn is under new management. About a year ago the current managers took over and are working hard to build up a reputation for good beer and food. The Castle is a cosy place with friendly staff, a colourful and welcoming bunch of locals and an ever increasing number of visitors, like myself. The restaurant offers a choice of foods to suit most pallets. Sitting in the rustic restaurant or eating at a table in the lounge one is impressed by the food turned out from the kitchen. Well cooked, wholesome and, unless you want a "pensioners" there are no small portions. Sunday lunchtimes is carvery time. Delicious roasts are there to be carved up and ladled onto your plate. All in all, the Castle is a good, rustic friendly place to eat or drink spoilt only by the gambling machine in the lounge. It should be moved into the "tap room", or better still, thrown out altogether. The disturbance is however minimal and it should not detract from your enjoyment unless you, like me, cannot abide these machines.

I have concerns about the cleanliness of this pub

Read the star news paper review, and also heard azad on the radio, i normally love the ch korma, but azad made me try the new ch mango dish, my god! it was gorgeous. first time i eat at the place, and im definitely going back, wish they had a place in swallonest near me!, but since the foods worth it, i don't mind travelling 10/10!

A small, friendly restaurant with seating for around 30. Good menu with freshly made food of the highest order. Book early as it gets extremely busy at weekends. Does take-away too but be prepared to wait at busy times.

We have eaten here many times and it is absolutely fantastic. We have never had a poor meal or bad service. The staff are attentive, without being overbearing, and the ambience is excellent. You will have to book in advance for a weekend table - once you have been you will know why. A truly excellent dining experience.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food at a reasonable price. Mama mia,s is welcoming, cosy and very friendly. There is a great menu with so much to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice. All the food is cooked fresh and tastes out of this world. There is a great selection of wines on offer, and the house wine is a steal at £8.80 a litre. So go along and find out what you've been missing out on.

Friendly and funky place, serving nice and tasty food. I had the veggie option, a piece of grilled goats cheese with rocket served between 2 flat mushrooms with some french fries. My girlfriend had pumpkin soupin (surprisingly tasty) with a chunky piece of granary. Didn't have one but the hot chocolates seemed popular - going to have one next time!

Forum Cafe Bar – Sheffield

A great mix grill/surf 'n' turf. Gets very busy on sundays so be prepared to wait for your table. All in all quite good but they should do something about the STICKY TABLES.

Not much cop to be honest - very expensive, I remember it was something like £1 for 1 popadom plus the fat git that owns it is rude and obnoxious!

we really enjoyed our meal. The price was very reasonable, it was a cosy and friendly atmosphere. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Booked a table for 8 people to celebrate a 70th birthday.Table booked for 7.30pm put us on a table next to 10 rowdy school children celebrating a birthday who had no parental supervision.Waited 1 hour for the starters then kept waiting for the main meal by this time we had had enough so after numerous complaints we got up and left.I for one will not be visiting this restaurant again.

I would like to warn people about this Frankie and Benny's the staff are very good but the manager made our visit uncomfortable I attended with my wife and two children we were pushed in to the bar although empty table were available. The manageress had told us that we could not sit there as these tables were not for children. as we waited for our table a couple of business men came in and were sat directly in to the empty tables. This is definitely not as child friendly as other Frankie & and Benny's I have visited. I found the manageress rude and unwelcoming to me and family. I would say that her attitude changed when ever a man in suit came through the door. The food was ok nothing to write home about and under portioned from you would get at other Frankie and benny's. the waitress was very pleasant and seemed to be scared of the manageress.

a lovely friendly restaurant, excellent food, and service. The Owner, Richard is an excellent host. Very hard working! The food is fresh and very well presented!! One of the best Indian restaurants in Sheffield!

Almas Indian Brasserie – Sheffield
Jenny from Leeds

Very nice atmosphere in the evening and pleasant friendly staff. Would take friends for drinks and maybe for some quick tapas. Definitely not if you want to make an impression for an evening meal. Presentation was good enough and quantities generous but a lot in the food seemed not cooked on the spot. With only a few options for main meal I would expected them to be completely mastered and top quality. Shame, as there isn't a huge variety for latin American food in Leeds.

I arrived on my own this last Saturday ..after a glass of wine at the Hare and Hounds pub across the road . I entered and asked the waiter i there was a table for one?..he went away to ask the manager ..who came over and said No ! ..there was no reason given ..there were half a dozen people in the restaurant.. so i went away and telephoned the Ashoka ..a much smaller restaurant ..and said please sir we await your arrival..after which i had a very pleasant meal am still waiting for a reason .
