Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonMy parents and grandparents visiting from Scotland were keen to eat at a nice restaurant and Le Bistro did not disappoint! Everybody loved the meals and were especially impressed with the presentation! Lovely restaurant to sit in and the staff were very friendly. Excellent choice of meals and deserts, and all of us enjoyed the various dishes we ordered.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonI had big expectations when I booked a birthday meal for my partner but the night was disastrous. We had an early booking & the first course came fairly quickly. However the simple steak frites took an hour & half after ordering. Although mine was ok my partners came as a ball of chewy meat which was inedible. I said I wasn't paying for it but wasn't offered an alternative. We were warned by another table they'd been overcharged by £40 & checking our bill ours was £17 over!! We can't blame the very young, apologetic staff that evening but where was the manager/owner overseeing the running of the business. Shocking experience. Wanted to give 1/5 for food & service but it won't allow!!

Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonWe found this beautiful bistro about 8 years ago and it stole our hearts , we three come from Preston, St Anne’s and Leeds , in the times that we have been here , we have all chosen our last meal !! Beef cheeks for 1 of us Scallops for another And Sausage n mash for me . Those meals that you never forget , I sneaked a lunch in with one of my other friends and yep she is also in love with the place . The attention to detail in the cooking and execution of the meal is extremely high . The staff are so knowledgable and most of all proper friendly . It’s just wonderful and a huge treat that always pleases immensely .

Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonFive of us went as part of a family weekend away. Very pleased with our choice. Great location, close to everything that defines Skipton. Welcoming and attentive staff assisted in creating a great atmosphere. My daughter and I opted for the sea-food moneybag which was devine. We like to opt for dishes you would not attempt at home and this dish would have been a serious challange for anyone. Good reports heard on the Pork, the Chicken and the Steak Frites. The steak, incidentally, was way more substantial than a Steak Frites generally is. Could't manage sweets but they looked tempting. Great evening all round. Our thanks.

Oakleys Grill and Pizzeria – SkiptonBeen several times before for evening meals which are consistently excellent. We decided to give their Sunday lunch menu a try. Both of us had the brisket. Did not disappoint although my partner said his could’ve done with more gravy. Tasty as ever and we will be back - regular evening or Sunday lunch again.
