Food was reasonably good, nothing special. Very poor choice of drinks. Spanish beer in a so called French restaurant. Staff had very little knowledge about anything they were serving. Lacking any atmosphere.

All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was beautiful. I had the Moroccan lamb tagine which was so tasty. My partner had steak , which he absolutely devoured. My dad chose the beef from the specials and left nothing on the plate. My mum had chosen ham and eggs, which, unfortunately, she didn't enjoy. It was not ham, it was a thick piece of gammon. She does not like gammon, so would not have chose this if she had realised and the eggs were overdone. We were all expecting thin slices of tasty Yorkshire ham, so were disappointed. A description on the menu would have been helpful. But other than this, the food was delicious and excellent value for money. Our dog felt very happy here and it was a lovely, calm and relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely be returning.

Amazing food. Particularly recommend the seafood money bag the French onion soup and the Sunday roast. The service is always excellent. The only negative we have was the decor is rather tired and the table was sticky which may put new customers off as they aren’t aware of how amazing the food is.

We had lunch here on Monday August 25th (Bank Holiday). The food was traditionally French , the portions were ample and the service was attentive & friendly- thanks to our waitresses Ruby & Alice. In short, we look forward to our next visit!

We had a very generous and enjoyable meal at the Bistro. The menu had a good range of dishes and a well selected wine list. The staff were charming, we would definitely visit again next time we are in town.

Very good meal. It is my third visit and food is so good I chose it for a family meal to celebrate my birthday. We all enjoyed our food , scallops , pate, fish, chicken dishes. The food is good , fresh and portions are generous . And vegetables are well cooked. Definitely a Yorkshire welcome. Nice choice of drinks too. I like the French decor. Charming. Easy to park in the town car park nearby

A wonderful meal with great service

Well our 4th visit to Bistro . And won’t be last , Absolute little gem , and made possible by your wonderful staff ( we visited on Wed 20th early evening) Food amazing and great selection. You are doing a great job .

I would just like to thank you for the excellent Sunday lunch and service we received on the 17th. My wife has health issues and struggles to eat solid food she had the onion soup and the crab starter and said it was the niceist food she'd had in over a year. Thanks again Graham and Linda Coates

I can't recommend this enough, I had the ham hock starter which was delicious and the seafood bag which was again delicious. Wish it was closer to where we live.
