My wife and I have been to this venue several times now over the past few months and been served consistently great to excellent food. The service is fast, friendly and helpful. There is a nice range of drinks, including a couple of ales and wines including non-alcoholic versions, which is great. Portions are very good and with this great standard of food, the price is very reasonable. We tried the smoked haddock at our last visit, which was delicious and starters of Thai curry muscles and the Prawn flatbread. It was all very tasty and we are looking forward to going back.

I have visited The Harbour Lights for lunch on many occasions and have never been disappointed, once again my meal was lovely and the portion size was generous! Thanks again to the wonderful staff and I will return.

7 of us visited Harbour Lights yesterday for Sunday Lunch. The food was absolutely amazing and generous portions. All our food arrived at the same time so no one was left waiting. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again x

Not many venues have a good selection of main meals for a Sunday lunch but here they abound 8 to choose from I had the liver and onions and a good selection of vegetables I recommend this place for good service and quality food excellent staff 10/10

Great service and food as always. Staff always friendly and portions always large. I had the pork, friendly had the beef and the other, ham. All enjoyed our Sunday roast.

We love this place. Thr staff are friendly and welcoming and there's a large selection of meals on offer. We chose to eat from the 2 course menu and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and great value.

Been regularly visiting the Harbour Lights for a while now and haven’t faulted anything about our visits. This time though the service wasn’t up to its normal high standards. The meals were really nice though and it won’t put us off visiting again soon as there’s plenty of choice and quality food.

One of the best places to eat in South Shields. The food is beautiful, portions are huge, the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Also dog friendly.

Great food and service. Lovely to see a pub busy in the middle of the day giving a good atmosphere. Staff friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a good meal.

Fabulous pub with fabulously friendly staff! Great menu on offer for breakfast, lunch and dinner with specials too using locally sourced food. Very quick, 1st class service. I highly recommended a visit. Great views over the piers too.
