I visited for Sunday lunch with my family and want to say a huge thank you. The food was outstanding and the staff incredibly friendly. I look forward to my next visit.

Great food and excellent service…very reasonable and lovely atmosphere…pub and restaurant both have a great vibe!

We return here time and time again especially if we have visitors as we know the food is always excellent .The staff are very warm ,friendly and attentive telling you what specials they have on the day.The portions are large and home cooked and exceptional quality and the menu is extensive there is something for everyone and it is good value for money too and the pies are amazing .It is a really cosy warm welcoming pub especially if you have a table by the log burner with lovely river views . I highly recommend the Harbour Lights and can’t wait to return

Harbour lights is my favourite go to place, the food is delicious , staff are all friendly and welcoming . Good value and overall a really nice pub.

Good old pub grub. Great choice of food, good size portions, excellent value for money. Polite and efficient staff, great service. We will be back!

The food was very nice and the service really good. What I would say is perhaps the lighting and ambience of the restaurant could be a little more enticing to attract customers. Other than that would definitely recommend booking a nice meal because the food is very tasty and also traditional which is very nice

There were 7 of us who went on Saturday for a meal. We had mains and desserts. So pleased we hadn’t gone for starters as would have been too much. Atmosphere was good,staff helpful and friendly and food was delicious. Will definitely be going back soon.

As always, it was a wonderful meal. The staff were great and would not hesitate to recommend. As I have always said I do not know why people go on about Colman's ( even though it may be just as great) without trying they this little gem also in south shields. The fish I ordered was huge with a lovely crispy batter. My baby granddaughter was made to feel very welcome. We all had a lovely time

I always enjoy the food at the Harbour Lights, the chips are lovely; I was there on Friday afternoon 28/02/25. The pub was warm and felt cosy, it's clean too . I had the sea bream, it was lovely with nicely cooked vegetables; my son had the chicken parmesan with chips, he said it was delicious, there was a lot on the plate too. The service was excellent and the staff are very nice.

Four of us had a lovely meal here. Delicious home cooked pub grub, generous portions and friendly and efficient service. Very accommodating of a gluten allergy of one of our party. Warm and welcoming atmosphere with clean facilities. Will definitely return.

We visited for lunch on Wednesday, a last minute decision. So glad we booked, couldn’t believe how busy it was. Seated in the sunny conservatory we enjoyed a beautiful lunch. I had Chicken and Mushroom pie, gorgeous pastry and packed full of filling. Hubby had the braised steak, again everything was delicious. Service was great, the staff know their jobs, so friendly they help create the warm atmosphere. We are so fortunate to have such a special place on our doorstep.

Delicious Sunday roast - lots of choice. The veggie in our group loved the nut roast option. Great wine in cold clean glass. Friendly service - great prices. Already booked to return!

The food at the harbour lights is very good quality and prices very reasonable. T Bone steak was worth every penny and cooked to perfection. The new set up is great with simple online booking. Will definitely go back again as a canny choice of food.

We've eaten here before but this was our first Sunday lunch and we weren't disappointed. I was impressed with the vegetarian choice. Not something I'm used to going out for Sunday lunch as a "veggie". The others in our party said their meat was cooked to perfection and overall we all thought the food was excellent. Given that and the excellent staff I would definitely recommend the Harbour Lights.

Love the Harbour Lights. Great food at reasonable prices. The service is spot on and there is always a good atmosphere
