We had a great time and a great meal with terrific live music at Platform Tavern on Saturday night. Service was excellent and we ate several tapas dishes, which were delicious. Our table mates had the burger, pie, and curry special, also tasty. Thanks for a lovely evening!

Usual good atmosphere, friendly staff and good beers. New summer menu is great, generous portions of tapas as well as usuals.

Had late Sunday lunch here last weekend( party of 5). Service was charming and prompt and all the plates were delicious. If you’re having the roast, turn up hungry as it’s a very generous helping. Definitely recommend this venue.

Hmmmm Got there at 6- friend sat and wasn’t asked if she wanted a drink. We do arrive late at 615. We get our order taken at 6.45!( the delay that caused the issue). We had not been able to flag a member of staff down - way too many people and the staff could not cope. Food came out at 7.20….. theatre started at 7.30, paid £16 for a burger I ate out of a box cold in ten interval because we didn’t have the heart to kick up a fuss. Waitress was very apologetic and did discount our drinks but other members of staff seemed less concerned dithering and making her job harder. Would not go back- the mayflower village are excellent and know how to get people through fast and in time for the show.

new tapas menu fantastic, really good chefs (normal menu also available). good choice of beers. friendly and efficient staff - what more can I say !

Twice we have visited and both times we have had a delicious meal. The staff have great customer service and go out of their way to accommodate your needs.

The food and service was awful will not be going back or recommending especially as staff were unaware their was a theatre performance on !! Such a shame as a good location for the mayflower also not pleasant when u can here staff moaning about the customers when I used the toilet

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff who were easy to have a laugh with and accommodating when traffic made us slightly late. Food was lovely, great flavours. The drinks selection is fairly limited, particularly the wine.

We enjoyed the music at the platform while having a nice dinner with friends. The food was good, scored 70% for the burgers and 80% for the roasts.

generally nice food but disappointed that the beef roast is now topside that is not as tender and tasty as the sirloin previously on offer however I'm glad that the leg of lamb is back as opposed to the stuffed lamb offered a few weeks ago! i like to come to the SUNDAY SESSIONS some very talented musos playing worth tipping in the jug cowherds do roast sirloin £17 nice but no band #

The venue & atmosphere was great, staff friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and good portion size. My only complain was the tropical gin tasted of water, I said to the waitress it tasted as if it had been watered down, she took it away and ?gave me another, this tasted exactly the same. So, apart from the ?watered down gin definitely recommend this venue x

Great food and great service, very accomdating and provided smaller meals for those of us with smaller appetites. Staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Great experience, would highly recommend and we will definately be back :-)

Fantastic place to eat before going to theatre!

Went for the Sunday Roast and the food was too good! Lovely staff! Lovely atmosphere.

Very pleasantly surprised by this little HIDDEN gem. We were welcomed upon arrival , seated promptly , helpful staff smiled and served us efficiently. Food great , little pricey but well worth it :-) Pub ambience was cozy friendly , calm. We really enjoyed our food and will come again !

Excellent food, the plates were filled high and everything cooked to perfection. The staff were lovely and extremely patient with our table of seven, will definitely be returning. The added bonus was the fantastic guitarist playing in the bar area, what a talented man!
