Alamir Lebanese Bistro – SouthportWe went for our Ruby Wedding. 22 of us had a lovely night. Aslo had my 60th there.
Rueters – Southportmy family and i visited your restaurant on sunday 7th april 2013. all four of us ordered the sunday lunch menu.the starters were very ordinary but the main courses were terrible.the beef and the lamb were so tough you could hardly chew and digest both meats.the so called roast potatoes were the kind you could buy in a supermarket from the frozen food isle and to complete the meal the vegatables were cold. my wife and i ordered creme bulee which just happened to be thick solid custard, burnt on top.the two other desserts where ice cream because of limited choice.to complete the disaster the house wine was mediocre and over priced.the reason i did not complain at the time was because i was treating my sister in law to sunday lunch and did not want to spoil the occasion.i was contemplating various restaurants and by a stroke of bad luck I chose yours.i cannot understand how you could serve such a miserable meal and expect people to come back.i am afraid that you have lost my custom and also many of my friends.what should have been a special occasion turned out to be a disaster.
Auberge Brasserie – SouthportAbsolutely wonderful ....if ever in Southport go to Ling's....you'll be well impressed !

Forge Brasserie – SouthportI am on a bucket wish kind of break in Southport and would like to taste and drink the best we can before it's too late."The wharehouse" in Southport. What a find for us. My wife and I had lunch there today, Mueles mariner, a favourite from Brittany days was on the menu. Sublime! absolutley sublime. My wife then had Pork belly with Parsnip Puree squeeky beans and gravy. She then had Rice pudding with rhuebarb and crunchy granole, whilst I had the cheese platter. Under £50 and worth every penny. Quite unforgetable.Hopefully we will be able to visit again.

The Warehouse Kitchen and Bar – SouthportHad a great meal at the refurbished restaurant tonight. Very polite and helpful service, excellent curries with a wide selection of items on the menu - highly recommended.
Thai Rice – SouthportWas very pleased to see this venue had reopened, went in to try out, What a nice place, run by a young couple, very friendly and helpful people.Had the Tom Yum soup (as ever) rich spicy hot with plenty of prawns and mushrooms, lovely and followed by chuchee going which was 4 ginormous prawns in a spicy aromatic coconut sauce with Thai herbs, absolutely scrummy. I was so impressed I took a beef green curry takeway for next day ! Very good food and price wise about £20 a head with a drink, definitely gone on to my A list
Thai Rice – SouthportExcellent service and great food. Would recommend. Just shame about the parking space. Rita
Oriental Delight – SouthportWent with friend this last week, what a nice place, spacious nice ambience with the barbacue grill taking pride of place. owner manager recognised me from when he had a crosby restaurant, nice, the food is splendid mainly cooked on demand on the barbie. tasty, spicy and plenty of it all in all about £20 a head drinks included. Good grub and good value as we had the tasting platter with a bit of everything and we both finished totally clean plates, its on our A list as of now !
Havin Turkish Restaurant – SouthportDisappointing. Although our mains were nice, the ribs were poor - no meat on the bone. The service was shabby, we had trouble attracting a waiter, and had to go to the desk and make several requests before we were given our bill. Cutlery didn't seem very clean, a large red lipstick was clearly visible on my cup.
New China City – SouthportFood excellent, beer great, manager rude, insultive, brash, threatening and belligerent. Unless you want a "Fawlty towers" type experience I heavily recommend you go somewhere else!
Imperial Hotel – SouthportMyself & 3 friends went for lunch at the cafe after having purchased groupon voucher for the afternoon tea, The food i have to say was very fresh & very nice however we found that the quantity of food supplied was somewhat frugal & was only just enough for two people. 2 quater tuna 2 quater cheese sandwiches, & 2 meat salad half roll.s with 2 scones & 2 small slices of cream sponge does not make a substantial afternoon tea for 4 people.
Botanic Gardens Cafe and Settle Inn – SouthportSometimes great, sometimes definitely not but today was the last straw. Waited at the bar whilst 4 staff chatted and eventually bought drinks and placed our order. Pizza night, you'd think they would have the ingredients to produce what they offer or, at least admit that they haven't and decline the order. If you run out of mozzarella cheese, ham and seafood it's impossible to produce a marinara (seafood) pizza or a ham and pineapple pizza. Our meals took a long time to arrive and we should not have bothered waiting! I have never had a pizza made with cheddar cheese before. Ham and pineapple is not so good when it's just pineapple and sludgy warm cheddar. Tomatoes and a few slivers of smoked salmon are definitely not seafood and when I came across tuna, which I detest, buried in the cheddar sludge, we both decided to cut our losses. Stopped at Asda on the way home and ate at 10.00. Not a great evening out.
Rueters – SouthportHave eaten here many times and the food is always good, great staff with a nice welcoming attitude and atomosphere to boot.
Mount Pleasant – SouthportVisited the shop after they won their award and must say the food was fantastic. The fish and chips where lovely, and the staff where friendly will definitely visit again .Well doneBecks x
Grantham Road Chippy – SouthportWe visited The Arion for lunch and sat in the conservatory in a very calming atmosphere. We ordered a gammon meal off the 'special' board. The portions were more than ample and the food was excellent! The staff (Greg who brought the meals and a young lady who brought my coffee to the table) were a credit to the pub. The decor in the pub is very calming and the whole pub is spotlessly clean. Well worth a visit!!
Arion At Ainsdale – Southport
