Very good food and service as usual. Particularly enjoyed the celery, apple and sage soup. Enjoyed the open fire - otherwise would have been cold.

Our favourite pub/ restaurant normally but Friday 13th December was a disappointment. We brought guests and were delighted by the ambience. The fire was blazing, the tables were attractively dressed but the food was disappointing. We had a range of dishes but all seemed lacklustre. A smoked salmon and prawn starter seemed straight from the packet. Salt Marsh Lamb tasted ok but was poorly presented. The desserts were good as was the cheeseboard but either they were too busy or the chef had a bad day Such a shame as we had praised the Vine and left disappointed. We will return but on our own.

Great Christmas meal in a lovely cosy pub. Staff all friendly, efficient and helpful. Fantastic place to go. Christmas pudding fool was delightful!

I bar not been to the Vine for quite a while and i will not be going again. Food was mediocre, atmosphere was non existant, service was atrocious. Had to wait one hour to get food, then when paying the bill the correct change was not given.

A warm welcome on an afternoon of storm Darragh! The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful, especially when the storm gusted and surprised everyone. Lovely food and lovely atmosphere. Many thanks for helping to make a family reunion special.

First return for a while, since we lost our local family member (and Covid, of course). Very glad to say it retains all the qualities that made it a once regular haunt. Comfortable, warm welcome, good choice of food, excellent quality and super service. Good value too. Won’t be as long before we return again.

A lovely country pub with a cosy atmosphere, excellent food, and great service. The staff were friendly and attentive, and every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. A perfect spot for a relaxing meal—highly recommended!

I took my wife there for our 25th wedding anniversary meal last night. It was fantastic. My wife has several food alergies and we had approached them in advance to see what there was on the menu she could safely eat. The manager could not have been more helpful letting us know exactly what foods she would be able to have, even giving us an advance look at the specials board. The meal was perfect, the drinks choice was excellent and reasonably priced, and we could not have wished for a better atmosphere with the roaring log fire in this charming country gem just a short drive from Central Birmingham. We would heartily recommend the Vine to anyone.

A very good meal for lunch, plenty of choice, food was tasty and well presented. Staff were excellent and very helpful. The Vine is in a lovely spot, and the perfect place to go after a walk in the Client Hills!

Lovely lunch with friends to celebrate retiring. Excellent food, brilliant service and friendly staff. Back room was a bit cold but the bar had been cosy.

A Lovely traditional English pub. A party of five of us booked to celebrate my birthday. Such a cosy and warm environment with very friendly and attentive staff. We ate from the lunchtime menu, which had a varied choice to suite all of our tastes and dietary needs. We could not fault the food, it was cooked to perfection and was absolutely delicious. Very reasonably priced too. Ohhh another plus once us ladies start chatting we can go on a bit … but we were not made to feel rushed even though it was well after closing time. Thank you to all the Vines staff for making my day extra special!

Had Sunday lunch 3rd November, there was 6 of us 4 people in their 80's and 2 late 50's. Meal was lovely but the pub was cold we were in the back room, open fire needed to be lit. Other than that lovely meal, service.

Amazing food again at the Vine, always delicious and excellent service. We were a bit of a difficult booking for you last night, I wanted just the sausage and mash excluding the red cabbage that was on the menu. Also my friend Richard was struggling to choose from the menu, so you kindly prepared him chicken served on a burger bun with dressing and chips. You always give 120% and that's why we keep returning!

Very dog friendly (which is really important to us). Lovely atmosphere and fabulous food ... will be visiting again.

Took wife for birthday meal, been several times to this establishment food and service always first class will keep returning as menu is fantastic!

We've visited twice now with the dogs. First time in evening and the second lunchtime. Both menus where excellent, along with great service and pleasant surroundings.
