Visited 5th December, absolutely fabulous meal... however the experience was made by the young guy who was so attentive, engaging and just made the evening more pleasant... all i know is he has dark hair and started the day before the first lockdown... my advice keep him hes a great asset to your business and a lovely guy

Had lunch yesterday it was fab lovely log fire ,food really good and staff really nice will be back !!

Been here for Sunday lunch many times over the years ,and have never found fault Simon does a great job especially with the current situation, will obviously be back .

Always love going to the Vine. We eat out quite often and generally tend to go to different places each time for the variety but keep coming back to the vine. Highly recommended.

We went last week on a miserable day and the atmosphere in the pub complimented by the fire made for a lovely evening. The staff were very friendly, it was very COVID safe which is reassuring even wiping down chairs between guests. The food was also excellent. Will definitely be back again soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed an early dinner with my 98 year old Dad who enjoys his food. Thank you for lighting the fire on a damp autumn evening too.

Its also worth noting that Covid is taken seriously here with all measures being complied with ... Reassuring to see .... Looking forward to coming back soon .... keep up the good work guys

Superb Sunday Lunch! Best we’ve had anywhere in a long time; and imo definitely the best in the local area. Presentation, choice and quality was second to none! Staff very attentive and ‘friendly-professional ‘ ! (Covid rules were well in place and being implemented). The Vine is local to us .. and although it’s our first visit for a while ... on this successful experience we shall now ongoing visit on Sundays and during the week ! Highly recommended !

I visited for Sunday lunch as one of a party of six. We all agreed that the food was extremely good. Only small glitches were that the starters were quite slow to arrive and it was actually very cool inside the pub; so much so that had to keep my jacket on and I was not the only one.

After a vigorous walk around the surrounding hills we retired to this picturesque little pub for a well earned bite. The covid restrictions were well thought out and clearly signed and we were immediately shown to our table. The main menu and specials (venison and sea bass) was extremely tempting but we plumped for pub lunch instead. The Butty Bach was absolutely delicious, so much so that I was unable to resist ordering a second. The Ploughmans was very generous and really tasty My ciabatta was delicious and the side of sweet potato fries was cooked perfectly (not often the case in my experience) Watching the other food coming out we will definitely be visiting again to sample more of the fayre. Highly recommended.

A very pleasant treat in a favourite area. The Covid regulations did not spoil the atmosphere and the service was good. I chose the Vine Moussaka which was delicious and my friend ordered the ham and mustard homemade sandwiches thinking she needed something light as she was having her main meal in the evening. However the portion was enormous, enough to satisfy any walker or cyclist!
