Food was superb as was the service and general ambience. Our only criticism of their lunch menu is that there is not enough choice and the wines (even the 'house' wines) are very expensive. At the time we were unaware (not informed) of their special 'Lunch Offer'. However, can heartily recommend Drakes for its innovative and delicious food.

Thai Express – South CroydonI been looking for a Korean restaurant that has charcoal barbecue and this is the only one I found. The BBQ food tastes so much better on charcoal than the other restaurants that uses gas/electric grills (flat). The staff are friendly and the restaurant presents a nice atmosphere. I highly recommend trying out the charcoal barbecue. Very delicious and filling.

Bamboo House – Mitchamthis has to be one of the cheapest pubs in London i was there on the 6 of January this year and paid the vast sum of 1.49 for fosters normal price of 2.20 i get the impression they are trying to out wetherspoon, wetherspoons which with the cheap drinks and food which like the staff is far superior to any wetherspoons wouldn't be hard only downside was the gents leaking urinals which left it like a puddle apart from that a good pub to meet up in or just have a quick pint in
Goose on the Market – CroydonThis place is great! One of the few REAL Italian restaurants in London which doesn't rip you off and the choice on the menu is extensive and every meal is cooked fresh to order and absolutely delicious. We spent Christmas day there (and for those who 'don't do turkey') i can honestly say the Scotch Fillet of beef in peppercorn sauce was delightful and the best cut of meat I've tasted in a very long time. The service is always very friendly. I can't recommend it highly enough. Don't miss out!

Asif Balti House – CroydonHighly recommended. Excellent food and service. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Also do a take away service with free local delivery. Try a Tuesday or a Sunday as they have an amazing value £10 deal on a 4 course meal. Definitely worth a visit.
