My daughter likes going for walks in country areas so we had a day out in Delamere. For our lunch, we went to the Alvanley Arms and it was great. It is nice and cosy in there, the food is really nice and the staff are great. It is in a brilliant location and is right next door to the Shire Horse Centre whcih we visited immediately afterwards. The Alvanley Arms is such a nice place and we'd love to go again.

First visit after a few years. The atmosphere is lovely and the decor has gone up a notch or two. The food was as good as we remembered it. Great service and we will definitely returning soon.

Positively the staff and the food that was available was very good. However when we first sat down the waitress referred to the menu that was totally different from the one shown on line and which was one of the reasons for our visit. We were told that the hanging chicken kebab, the duck, chicken in black bean and something else that I can’t remember were not available. This was a big disappointment and I cannot really understand why they would run out of things on a Saturday night when they were not especially busy. Overall it was an enjoyable evening just a shame that we could not have our first choice dishes.

Wonderful as always, the food and cocktails need no introduction. It’s the staff that make the difference, you are made to feel special from the minute you arrive, and nothing is too much trouble for them. It’s a special treat for sure. The cocktails are wonderful as said, but drinks like coke are a little expensive, but it’s the food, service and atmosphere that matters.

Food good, service slow, we would have had another drink if someone had come to the table, we had to go to the bar to order a dessert.

Sunday lunch is the best out there and the service outstanding.

I had a fantastic meal! The steak was absolutely perfect—cooked just the way I like it, full of flavour, and incredibly tender. The cocktail menu was impressive, with a great variety to choose from, and I thoroughly enjoyed trying a few. The atmosphere was lovely, and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a great dining experience—I’ll definitely be back!

Absolute first class food presented by wonderful staff. Would highly recommend visiting this restaurant. We where able to sit and decide what we wanted to eat sitting in a comfortable seating area while having a lovely drink. We be revisiting again.
