We visited for Sunday lunch - was excellent, as always. It’s great food and great value and def recommend. We visited again a few hours later - for coffee and pudding. It’s not the first time we’ve done this - too full after the lunch, but a trip to take our son back to university, unpack etc and drive back, means we then have the space to enjoy pudding while trying to stay awake on the comfy sofas. We will definitely be returning.

Main course 3 meat turkey/ beef/ and pork with all the trimmings fantastic to full for a pudding but definitely next time thank you Phil& ann
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyMe and my Wife have been coming here for about 7 or 8 years. Love it every time, great food and staff, no rushing us and great atmosphere. Just a lovely relaxing place to go to. Never had a bad meal here. Would highly recommend visiting.

Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyI was looking for a restaurant for a special family meal and The Alvanley Arms was reccommended to me. I was disappointed with the table we were given, there were five of us crammed onto a table for four even though there were other tables available which would have been more comfortable. The pub/restaurant was nearly empty, admittedly the snow and ice were pretty bad and this made for a not particularly nice ambience. The food was ok but nothing special. One server was extremely morose and the other was a little to free with her personal life. We were about to order more drinks when we were told the pub was closing in the next ten minutes although it was only 9:40pm. I don't think i will be going back and could not in all conciousness reccommend it either.

Alvanley Arms – TarporleyWE have been going to Panama Hattys for at least 25 years so it was the obvious choice for my husbands 80th birthday lunch.There were 15 of us mainly family including adults and children.Everyone enjoyed it and we all ate very well.All the staff are very welcoming and the service slick but not rushed. We will continue to go there a few times a year.It is lovely.

They helped my husband surprise me with a glass of fizz on arrival and a birthday cake. The food was really tasty and the portions were huge! Despite being busy the service was swift and friendly.

Alvanley Arms – TarporleyMy wife and I and 2 friends had dinner on New Year’s Eve. The food was exceptional. The service was second to none and the whole experience was wonderful. Friendly staff and a terrific atmosphere. I would give them 20 out of 10’if I could. They also don’t implement a service charge which most restaurants annoyingly seem to do. I did however have no objection to leaving a tip because the Alvanley deserved it.
