My husband and I stayed for a night and dined here. We both had an excellent vegetarian dish. The place was beautifully decorated and the stoves were on in all three rooms adding to the already festive feel. Nothing was too much for Karen and the team. A lovely place. Would highly recommend.

As ever a lovely meal in a very convivial atmosphere with excellent service and food.

5 of us had a meal here on 21/11/25. As always, staff excellent, food lovely and plentiful. The place itself is lovely, especially at this time of year. It would be nice if there were a few more gluten free options on the menu, as it's a bit limited for me, but obviously this isn't something the staff have any control over and it won't stop me eating here again.

Lovely family birthday meal for my son. The restaurant was welcoming and warm. The restaurant staff gave us just the right amount of time to make our food choices, and were friendly. I had the chicken massaman curry which was delicious, a generous portion and definitely value for money. My son had the sriracha kebab which he enjoyed, and husband the half roast chicken with piri piri sauce. Highly recommend Panama Hatties, never had a meal we haven't enjoyed

Booked an early evening meal here for my partner and 7 year old. The service was lovely and friendly, we were greeted warmly. The food came quickly, it was very quiet though maybe only 5 tables full (it was 5:30), food was fresh and the chips were brilliant! The pricing is similar to those around in the area, and worth it for the fresh tasty food. We will be back, thank you.

My group of friends has been coming here for more years than we care to remember and we love it. The whole feel of the place is so comfortable and relaxing and the service is attentive but unobtrusive. We particularly appreciate that we can enjoy our meal at our own pace. The food is always good with something for everyone.

From the welcome to departure it was wonderful. The sunday roast is always on point,flavoursome and traditional. The staff were friendly without being over friendly. And as for the dessert excellent and typically British.

This was our first time at the Alvanley Arms and we had a delicious Sunday lunch. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was nice that in addition to the children’s menu, you can also order smaller versions off the main menu. We will most definitely be back and recommending to friends and family.

Family of 8 had a superb Sunday Roasts at The Alvanley Arms.. There was plenty of choices & quantity of food.

Have been several times now for Sunday lunch and I have to say one of the best Sunday lunches around. Superbly cooked food and plenty of it too.well worth a visit .

Three of us enjoyed lovely food for lunch on Saturday. It was delicious , hot and the service was very good even though they were very busy. We hadn't been before , but were meeting with a friend that lives near Chester and we live in Macclesfield so it was a brilliant decision to meet " half way " I am sure we will go there again as it was really a very good choice .

We had an excellent lunch at the Alvanley. The service was prompt, cheerful and efficient. The food arrived in timely fashion and was extremely tasty. The cost of the meal was very reasonable and we felt good value. The Alvanley is tastefully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed it so much we have booked to take a friend for the Christmas Fayre menu soon.

I've been wanting to eat here for sometime. The Alvanley is a gorgeous place. We sat right next to a multi fuel burner. The seats were very comfortable. My wife and myself had the Sunday beef roast. The beef was beautiful. Lovely roasties and a massive yorkshire pudding. I was a little disappointed in the cauliflower cheese. It seemed to lack a little bit of taste. Unfortunately we had all had a big weekend of eating and drinking so we only had a mains. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. Thank you guys
