What a fabulous Sunday lunch! My wife and I were celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary after having the reception at The Plough. Was great to see some familiar faces working in the pub. As always, the food and service were excellent and we can't wait for our next meal there

The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeWe tried the Plough for the first time, for Sunday roast, and had a fantastic meal in the beautiful bar room, where the low ceiling beams are hung with garlands of fragrant dried hop blooms. We found a table beside the cosy fireplace and the service was friendly and quick. When our meals arrived they looked absolutely mouth-watering. Tucking in, we were not disappointed! Generous portions of meat, perfect Yorkshires, and really crispy crackling with the pork. There were 5 or 6 different vegetables with both meals, including roast beetroots - a nice touch - and oodles of gravy. I’m ashamed to say after tackling this feast, we were so enthused by their cooking, we also had desserts… The white chocolate cheesecake is definitely recommended, and the affogato comes with a slice of home made brownie which would pass as a stand alone dessert in many a hostelry. Definitely recommended. They have a large carpark and also do some special deals during the week, we noticed.

Four of us had roast lamb dinners which were delicious, especially good roast potatoes and extra gravy was no trouble. Chicken burger and fish and chips were also very good. Nice friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely visit again.

Service was poor from the young waitress asked for jug of water received glasses of water. The portions were very small most of the plate was covered with greens obviously to cover the lack of meat. Sides of vegetables would have been better.

We sat on a lovely corner table by the log fire, the service was so friendly and the food was amazing; steak & caramelised onion ciabatta with chunky chips on the side and a chocolate brownie with Chantilly cream for pudding (which they so kindly divided into two portions for us to share)...it was all absolutely divine. A delicious smooth glass of prosecco to wash it all down. I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and definitely need to do it again very soon. Thank you to the Team at The Plough, we are so very lucky to have such a wonderful Pub on our doorstep. I've of course been telling everyone they must visit!

The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeVisited for Sunday lunch excellent food and attentive staff but unfortunately allocated a table next to the door for entrance to the lavatories. Every time the door was opened there was a resulting cold draught and as fellow diners invariably failed to fully close the door it meant regularly having to get up to secure the entrance. It was a pity the day was marred by the location of the table and lack of consideration by others.
