The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeMother’s Day set menu was disappointing considering I have had lunches at The Plough a few times previous. Service was poor from the young waitress asked for jug of water received glasses of water. The portions were very small most of the plate was covered with greens obviously to cover the lack of meat. Sides of vegetables would have been better.
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeI had an excellent impromptu lunch here with a friend yesterday. The perfect shelter from the dreadful cold windy weather! We sat on a lovely corner table by the log fire, the service was so friendly and the food was amazing; steak & caramelised onion ciabatta with chunky chips on the side and a chocolate brownie with Chantilly cream for pudding (which they so kindly divided into two portions for us to share)...it was all absolutely divine. A delicious smooth glass of prosecco to wash it all down. I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and definitely need to do it again very soon. Thank you to the Team at The Plough, we are so very lucky to have such a wonderful Pub on our doorstep. I've of course been telling everyone they must visit!
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeWe had a lovely meal here with all our family on a Friday evening the fish and chips was superb and good value for money. Staff are extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. Definitely be back
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeVisited for Sunday lunch excellent food and attentive staff but unfortunately allocated a table next to the door for entrance to the lavatories. Every time the door was opened there was a resulting cold draught and as fellow diners invariably failed to fully close the door it meant regularly having to get up to secure the entrance. It was a pity the day was marred by the location of the table and lack of consideration by others.
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeLovely food and atmosphere
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeLovely dinner enjoyed by all three of us. First time at the Plough for some years but really worth the visit. Will be back! Service was good but quite a long wait for the food. Will definitely try the Sunday lunch soon.
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeGreat night
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeWe booked a table for 6 adults and our 2 year old Grandaughter for my wife’s birthday. We were seated in a small private area that we weren’t expecting, so was just perfect. The food was so lovely, most of us had a roast and there was so much on our plates, but still managed a desert. This is our 3rd visit and has never let us down, the staff are also so attentive and friendly. What else could you ask for, thank you Team.
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeAlways look forward to eating at the Plough and Barn. Food is delicious and generous servings. Sunday roasts are huge and the roast potatoes are the best I’ve eaten. Good choice of desserts and always taste homemade. Service is fantastic, friendly staff, cannot do enough for you. Atmosphere is warm and friendly. Always relieved when we get a booking as can be busy.
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeMy Sunday Lunch group visited The Plough yesterday for a wonderful roast lunch each - one had beef, one chicken and two of us had the lamb, all of which were superb with plenty to eat, a great variety of vegetables: Roasties, parsnips, carrot, sweet potato, lots of greens and a beetroot & a big jug of gravy between us. We also ordered the cauliflower cheese & some extra yorkshires. For pudding, two of us had a variety of lovely icecream, there was an apply crumble with custard and I had the chocolate cheesecake with Chantilly cream and choc sauce. Melt in the mouth stuff! As usual, although busy, we were served promptly with people checking (not too often) that all was OK and did not feel rushed to leave. Would thoroughly recommend, although book early to avoid disappointment! Will definitely come again and proud to call this pub a local to me, as it never fails to deliver!
