I visited with a friend for lunch. The pub and gardens are beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good choice of dishes. We chose grilled halloumi and peach skewers with giant cous cous. They were absolutely delicious and filling, neither of us could finish them. I would not hesitate to recommend this pub and we will definitely return.

We were seated away from the main part of the pub in a separate little room, which was perfect as we had a 2 year old and a 3 day old baby with us so we didn’t have to worry about disturbing other customers. The service was excellent, the choice of food was impressive, the portion sizes were generous and the food was very reasonably priced. I’d highly recommend coming here for a meal. Our daughter and her partner have booked this venue for their wedding so we’re really excited for that and having experienced the hospitality here, we have no doubt that the staff will make it a fantastic and very memorable day.

The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeOne of the best dinners I’ve had in a pub. Had roast pork with roasted root vegetables. The pork was cut thickly, proper meat. Crackling perfect. Tasty gravy. The vegetables were lovely. All in all a very reasonable price for such well presented and tasty dish. Followed by rhubarb compote with ice cream. For my taste I would have preferred the rhubarb to be warm. The staff were friendly, efficient and polite. Only hiccough was a coffee ordered by my friend didn’t come with the puddings as ordered but we had profuse apologies from the maitre’d and also the waitress before we had even mentioned it to anyone. The ambience is busy and nice. The garden is beautifully kept and there is lots of room for children to run around, alongside a fort structure and swings. A very pleasant Sunday afternoon.

The waiting staff were friendly and attentive. Great local beers too. Would certainly recommend the Barn and Plough and we will be back.

The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeLovely roast on a Sunday evening. The plough is easily walkable from Tonbridge but is in a very rural setting. It will normally have room outside but you may want to book for an inside table. The food is lovely, tasty and unpretentious, with generous portions. There is a good selection at the bar and friendly staff. What's not to like. The only thing if you don't book is to check ahead, they do weddings and may be closed for private functions.

The choice on the menu are many, with lots of exciting vegetarian meals as well as traditional pub fare. The staff were charming and attentive and we had a really good time.
