Had a relaxed and enjoyable lunch at this lovely, friendly pub. Nothing is too much trouble and we will definitely be returning.

We had such a lovely Sunday roast at the Plough last Sunday, all of the food was amazing and the service couldn't have been better. We will definitely be returning!

Celebrating a friend's birthday, 4 of us had a fab lunch. Steak ciabatta is delicious. Lovely, friendly staff. It was a horrible rainy day but the fire was lit and it was beautifully cosy. Thank you again to the team.

Great Sunday Roast!

We booked a large lunch party at the Plough for my husband's 40th birthday celebration and I cannot rate it highly enough. From the moment I made the booking 'til the moment we left, Darren looked after us exceptionally. The area of the pub reserved for us was absolutely perfect, the staff so warm and welcoming and the food absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for making it such an effortlessly enjoyable day for us.

It was a truly wonderful to celebrate my engagement. It was a cosy atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. Food was excellent too!

Another excellent meal

This is our favourite pub in the area. Great food, great quality, great price, great staff and great building! We walk or cycle from home or from Haysden Country Park. It has a brilliant outside space for children to let of steam after the meal/ parents to enjoy the setting & sun.

Beautifully cooked food. Wonderful atsmosphere on Christmas Eve at lunchtime. Really enjoyed our time there. Fabulous log fire!

We visited the Plough on 17th December for a family lunch. The service was friendly and very good. There was an excellent menu choice and the food was really good quality. Highly recommended and we would happily come again.

Had an amazing time and meal as always, the plough is one of our favourite places to go for a meal, we are always looking for any excuse to go.

The Plough and Barn’s delicious food and warm atmosphere were enjoyed by our party of 7 on Saturday afternoon (4 of whom were hungry children). Generous portions; really tasty hearty fare. My dad enjoyed the rustic ale. The turkey and leek pie was insanely good: proper buttery shortcrust pastry, chock full of succulent turkey. The sticky toffee pudding was a highlight. I was also impressed by the clearly made from scratch custard that came with my crumble. You must go if you’re in the area, and consider travelling over if you’re not!

Delicious food, and a lovely setting to eat on a sunday evening for a big family group. The pub is beautifully laid out, and catered easily for our group of 8.

We have eaten at The Plough several times during 2025 and have been impressed at the choice and quality of the food. We decided to book a group for the Christmas menu and had a lovely evening with friendly service, good food and a relaxed atmosphere. The beer choice is also great and prices are very reasonable for such generous meals. It is lovely to see this old pub being run well and becoming the welcoming place it was in years gone by. We will definitely be returning more often in 2026

A very enjoyable Sunday roast at The Plough and all cooked to perfection. Portions very generous, and in fact we had no room for a dessert! Very good and friendly service, and a nice atmosphere. Will certainly be back.
