We walked from Tonbridge to The Plough and arrived just short of their kitchen closing, it was busy when we arrived but we were helped immediately. I had the halloumi salad starter that was delicious and my friend had the yorkshires also yum! The staff were attentive without being annoying. Having walked out of The Ivy Tower Bridge this week, this was something that was very much appreciated.

We had a wonderful lunch celebrating my wife's birthday yesterday. Both the food and staff service was exceptional. Nikki was so helpful and made the afternoon so enjoyable. All our friends left raving about the lunch!!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue

Due to the covid restrictions when my father died we decided to have a belated celebrations. We decided on the Plough after hearing good reports, and are very pleased we did . Hazel with who we dealt was very helpful and all the staff who made our special day even more special. I would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone

This was our third visit this year , the previous two visits had been underwhelming. But this visit was great, though still the same menu , the portions are now ample and the food was excellent. I had the salmon which was a good size portion with a fabulous pesto crust ,lovely potatoes and excellently cooked veg, others had the lamb kofta which was also plentiful and very tasty. The service was quick and the waiting staff excellent being amusing and polite. Didn’t have the kids with us this time but the garden is great. An easy walk from Tonbridge park via powder mills and the new estates woodlands. Puddings are overpriced.

The food and service is always fantastic.. They always manage to find us a table, which is good as I'm always leaving it till the last minute to book, The kids love the play area which is fully visable from the outdoor seating area, so brilliant to take the kids to, The food is really good x

We had a relaxed and extremely tasty breakfast as a birthday treat for a friend. The service was friendly and attentive which made all six of us feel very welcome. Definitely going again.

The manager treats you all as though you were his personal friend. He knows all his customers and their likes and dislikes regarding food/drinks. So 3 cheers for Ray!

What a lovely pub always friendly chatty and welcoming couple who run the cardinals error. My brother visits maybe once/twice year...he dont like going to another pub as he said its such a nice environment to be in whilst having a drink. My father from germany visits xmas time and he feels the same.My son and his girlfriend both in 20s are always in there weekend times. This pub encourages all ages and has our thumbs up . If u havent been...try it!!

Visited for a Sunday lunch. It was a miserable, wet day and the restaurant was packed with families of varying sizes, with lots of (well-behaved) kids, Son no.1 had the home made steak burger, which came with a decent salad. Excellent and very herby. No 2 loaded on the carb, opting for the bread basket and enormous chips, the size of Jenga pieces. My belly of pork was succulent with a crisp crackling served with black pudding wrapped in mash. The other half went for the two meat roast and was demolished with a very decent Rioja. The boys were defeated by the enormous slabs of gooey chocholate brownie cake. Well worth a visit and am looking forward to paying a return visit when the weather improves and we can enjoy the large pretty garden.

Friendly family pub with a top rate conservatory restaurant. Large well-maintained garden with a kids' climbing frame in the far corner and a petanq pit. A decent pint of Shepherd Neame's Spitfire, too

Ate at this restaurant (Nice setting and recently refurbished) last Saturday. Lovely tender steak meal spoiled by overcooked mcdonalds style french fries. Venison pie spoiled by undercooked vegetables, Nice puddings. complained about quality of food. No allowance made on bill and 10% service charge added. we thought £106 for 2 course meal for 4 that was not enjoyed was also overpriced.
