Loved the South African menu and the food was excellent. Wish there were some South African desserts! Excellent service.

I enjoyed my Sunday roast very much thank you. Unfortunately in a party of 10, we had 2 that don’t like garlic so they couldn’t have the roast and 2 of my family that had the calamari said it was not good (batter sliding off of it crumbling). Others were happy with chicken burgers. Sticky toffee Puddings went down well with 2/3 of us too. I would eat here again but shame they don’t do a non-garlic alternative, because it’s a lovely very clean pub and plenty of space.

Good food, good service. I ordered the Sunday roast,lamb was the choice of meat. It was succulent.

My sons favourite place to go for a burger! Great food, relaxed friendly atmosphere. Perfect to unwind after a busy week.

Myself and my family are lucky enough to live right near the Royal Oak. The food is always amazing, the staff are wonderful, and to make the experience even better they are child and dog friendly. We can’t fault this pub, and are proud to call it our local

Love this pub, atmosphere is chilled and sophisticated. Food is great. We had the burger, I'm not a burger person but his was amazing. We will be back soon. Thank you for everyone making the effort. Toilets are 10/10

Went for Sunday lunch . Family group of 7. Was a random pick off the internet as a central point for the family who live in all directions. Obviously 1st time visit. You only get one opportunity to make a first impression and the staff at The P. G. cracked it. Most of us had the roast which was excellent and good flavour. Unfortunately there was a little error in that the sprouts were almost cold. We didn't let this spoil our meal but something for the kitchen to note (food rated 4/5 on sprout issue.). Good reports from the burger and curry eaters. Very attentive and pleasant staff. End result we enjoyed our first visit which was the object of the visit.

The Sunday roast dinner was fantastic. It had amazing flavour and is definitely the best Sunday roast in Watford.

Perfect autumn Sunday afternoon. Roasts were excellent, great selection of vegetables (chard, parsnips, carrots, cabbage ) along with fab roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Nice atmosphere, polite and attentive staff, very quick service.

Me and my girlfriend found this place online as we wanted to try something different on the weekend, and most definitely amazed by the quality of the food and the speed in which we were served. Really hearty sunday roast to die for. Only negative comment was that the signal was poor in the pub which would of helped if the wifi was free or had the password around and about otherwise the place was a great little find and I would highly recommend as it is a nice little place to enjoy time with friends, family and loved ones.

We came for a light meal whilst participating in Adams quiz. The chicken wings were delicious, as was the chicken and bacon burger and the mozzarella sticks and cheesy nachos. As you can see we ended up eating quite a lot and thoroughly enjoyed our food. My daughter and husband also really enjoyed your chips! Having to follow a gluten free diet is not always easy and I am delighted to see your increased choices for me and fellow Coeliacs! Thank you

My sister and brother-in-law are visiting from Canada. This is my local and the food is always great. Once again didn’t disappoint. Best chips ever! Also the lads that were serving us were outstanding and we all were so impressed how attentive they were. Please complement them on a job very well done!
