Speaking as a tourist visiting Watford area, Prince George offers the quintessential English Pub experience! We were greeted warmly when we walked through the door. The service was excellent and the food was incredible!

The roasts at The Prince George are legendary!! Generous portions, superbly cooked and served by a lovely warm family team. It's always impossible to choose between the roast lamb and the pork belly - but choose a 'half & half' and you don't have to! The best pub by far in the area for atmosphere, friendly service and fantastic food. Their weekday menu is also excellent and the pub beer garden is a great space at the back on warm evenings. Ticks all the boxes.

Lovely welcoming pub. Great Sunday roast - we had lamb, beef and veggie, all excellent. Very accommodating with allowing my elderly mum to order a child’s portion of her roast. Will definitely return.

Outstanding meal with my family. The food was fantastic and service was great. It was a really friendly feel and made my wife and I plus our 2 young children feel welcome. We come back every half term. First time we have eaten here and it was so worth it. We shared the bread and Hummus starter. Wow. Boys both had kids meal which was good size. My wife had a chicken burger which she says it’s the best she has had. I had Sea bass and it was so nice. If thinking of eating here, do it, you will regatta it if you don’t.

First time having a roast at the Prince George. Have to say one of the best roasts I have eaten, I had the pork my husband and daughter had the beef. The meat was so tender, veg and roast potatoes were lovely and the gravy was so rich and plentiful. Great friendly service and would definitely go back again.

Came with my husband and a friend for a Sunday roast. I'd pre booked on line, but telephoned the George a couple of times, as I was travelling by train and was going to be late. The staff were very helpful and made a note of it. I'd also booked an inside table, but as it was goung to be a lovely day rang in advance asking if we could be sat outside. The member of staff understood and made another note of it. When we arrived the staff were ready for us, remembering everything I'd telephoned in advance about. We ordered the roast lamb and beef and it was an amazing meal, the best we've had this year. The gravy was unbelievably tasty and rich and the veg were freshly cooked. I keep thinking about the meal and want to go again soon.

We had a roast dinner here and it was absolutely amazing. Tasted so so good. Lovely, friendly pub.

Best roast beef I’ve ever had. I really love this pub. Its exactly what’s needed.

Without a doubt this is the best roast I have ever had. Not just the best roast in Watford, the best roast, full stop. We travel from Surrey, a 80 mile round trip, once a month, just for the Prince George Roast Beef, it is unmatched. Service is 10/10 also. Once you go, nowhere else will compare honestly.

Amazing food and atmosphere, the best pub I have been to. Super service , pet friendly, very good value for money.

Me and the missus popped in for a Sunday roast. I have to say when it comes to roasts I always stick to chicken but this time we had the beef and all I can say OMG it was fantastic, nice and tender and it just fell apart. Would def go back and def recommend just for the roast beef

We are so lucky to have such a great pub on our doorstep, so great for us as a family and somewhere for us to meet friends. The service from all is always amazing, everyone is so accommodating and friendly. The Sunday roast is honestly the best one we have had and the rest of the menu is also SO good!

We had booked for Sunday lunch to catch up with a friend, we did arrive early but that was not a problem as our table was ready. We had enough to think about what to drink and to place our order, didn't have to wait long, when the food arrived it was hot and full of flavour. Service was on point. The atmosphere was lovely, I can highly recommend The Prince George for Sunday lunch and a pub to visit at any time. Thank you.

Great food, great service

Could not fault our Sunday Roast. Excellent Service and Food. Also found out that we can take out puppy with us when we next visit. Perfect. Highly recomment it.
