Had a lunch with a friend and was very impressed with the food and service. The interior is nicely done. Chairs comfortable and tables well spaced. The belly pork was delicious and the chocolate mousse pudding was equally lovely. Well priced and good choices. Would highly recommend and would return!

I almost don't want to say how good this restaurant is in case we can't get a table in the future. Second time here for Sunday lunch. The food is excellent and the staff happily accommodated gluten free and dairy free diners. Highly recommend.

I went with a friend at lunchtime and we both enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant and the very tasty, beautifully cooked, food. A starter and main or a main and pudding were on offer at £20, plus £5 for a medium sized glass of house wine. All good value and delicious and served by young, welcoming and efficient staff. Wells needed a restaurant like this one and the city is lucky to have it. We will definitely go again, perhaps to eat next time in the pretty courtyard garden out back.

Best place around to have lunch. Comfortable, enough guests to feel at home, prompt service. And the food? Excellent, tastes good, looks good and served faultlessly,. We are unimaginative wine-drinkers and what we choose is at the right temperature and in nice glasses. Fair price.

Always have a beautifully created dish which is cooked with the same care. Dish size is appropriate for meal of this quality. An inspiration for the tastebuds in a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend

I have been eating at Goodfellows for more than 10 years. I have eaten at many of the best restaurants in Europe, and you don’t need to eat any better than Goodfellows!

An excellent, completely unpretentious, local restaurant with clearly very good ingredients, a chef who has a deft touch and spot on, tasty food as a result. Trout teriyaki was zingy and complemented with fresh, bright avocado mousse. Asparagus and poached egg were perfectly cooked. To follow, chicken was succulent. Pork loin and belly were all you could want - particularly the melting belly with crispy crackling. No room for puds, but they looked yummy. Short, ungraspingly priced wine list with sensible options. Service prompt, friendly and efficient.

Had a wonderful meal here with my partner, absolutely delicious food and very friendly hosts. Would happily visit again.
