We first visited this restaurant around 5 weeks ago and have been back 3 times since. My first impression was how pleasant the surroundings are, lovely, bright & clean with a very warm welcome from Mr Khan and his staff. The menu is extremely inviting and details a host of well known dishes along with a variety of specials. If you are new to Indian food just give this place a try without hesitation, Mr Khan will recommend dishes for the new taste buds, alternatively, if you go on a Sunday they provide a buffet style option where you can try a number of dishes from a help yourself table which is a great introduction to Indian food. The chef here is just fantastic, everything is beautifully cooked and presented and nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. All in all a 10/10 from me and we will be back on Saturday to introduce some friends to the place. Mr Khan is a lovely person and most hospitable and he enjoys a chat with his customers. Never found a better place to eat Indian food since this place. Try it a see for yourself

We have eaten in many of the best restaurants all over the country and even some worldwide. We challenge anyone to find better food and better service than that found in the spice lounge. Our favourite meal is chicken akabari which we have madras strength.

We ate with our 2 year old at the Olive Garden last Wednesday early evening. The food was excellent and the staff were welcoming and friendly and made a fuss of our noisy little one. Well worth a trip. Service was quick just what we needed with small child in tow.

We eat out once a week and have discovered The Owls At Standish, We recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in good food well presented and sold at sensible prices, give it a try and you wont be disappointed. Marian and John Smith from Whittle le Woods P.S. Wish we had somewhere similar in our own area.

Despite passing the restaurant 3-4 time s a week we had never eaten there. One reason was my wife never wanted to eat Indian food. When some friends came over and really fancied an Indian meal my wife agreed after reading the Sugarvine reviews. Frankly we where all amazed! The food was very good, with a bewildering array of dishes -all first class, with some interesting variations on old favourites. Service is always first class and the restaurant has a really pleasant atmosphere and is always spotlessly clean. You'll probably gather from this review that we've been back on several occasion (twice in one week - at my wife's request) - Now surely there's no better recommendation than that!

We tried the Wiggin Tree early evening on a wet Friday. Having witnessed the recent renovation whilst regularly passing it in the car I expected good decor and ambience. I was not disappointed, a rustic edge and slightly old fashioned but not too twee, deceptively large dining areas and background 'chill out' music all gave good first impressions. A little surprised to see the lunch time menu was still operated up until 6pm but the choice was reasonable and prices not excessive. We selected the stilton and watercress soup as starters which was tasty although the accompanying crusty bread was soft and uninviting. For mains we tried the home made burger and roasted peppers. A little disappointing, the burger lacked taste and I had anticipated chunky seasoned chips instead of the insipid fries dished up. The pepper was, at best, okay but needed to be served hot, not luke warm. We shared a desert, the apple and gooseberry crumble, which was not only big enough but, pleasant to taste and hot. In all, a decent place to sit and eat, reasonable prices but food is only average.

i went here for my works nite out on 9.05.2008, i found the service was great from start to end, there was a massive party of us and this did not effect the standard, i would definitely recommend this restaurant to any body who wants a good night out for fantastic value.

I was pleasantly surprised with Cinnamon. The restaurant has a lovely decor, a great menu and the staff give exceptional service - I'll be back!

Once inside the stunning building you could be in any stylish city centre diner if it wasnt for the very reasonable prices. Fascinating interior creates a great atmosphere, and the menu is brilliant. Huge selection of different Indian dishes all clearly explained. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and the attention of the genuinely friendly staff makes the evening pleasantly memorable. Superb food and a different experience all together from the usual Indian restaurant.

We visited on the 28/4/08, the restaurant wasn't particularly busy for a Sunday night but we had a 40 min wait for the food which went it arrived was cold and disappointing. The menu is very limited and the prices are high compared to the portions and quality. We will not be returning! Bar prices are high too.

Myself and my family visited the Wiggin Tree on the 5th April 2008. Terrible! We went in on the off chance around 2pm. The restaurant and pub were both virtually empty. The menu did not have that much to choose from. I also had my four year old nephew with me and there was nothing for him to choose from so he had a side orde of chips. We ordered three steak and chips and a burger and chips. The steak was fatty and the chips were frozen. you also got a piece of lettuce and a slice of tomato. The burger was so small, half the size of the bun itself. The waitress hovered over us all the time making it uncomfortable to eat. The view is from the restaurant is breath taking, only to be ruined by an Asda van delivering the groceries! The whole meal Was just too dear for the quality that you received.

I spent a Saturday evening at Gallimores to celebrate Mother's Datafter having the restaurant highly recommended by a friend. The starter was acceptable but nothing exciting considering it was listed as a 'fine dining restaurant' when I ordered by main meal I requested the Pan fried sirloin medium well done but was informed by the waitress that this dish was only available medium rare and suggested I order an individual steak which I did and ordered this medium well done. When the food arrived my mother and sister had ordered the Pan fried sirloin which was certainly cooked as expected more like medium well done, however my steak was completely overcooked and totally dry. I informed the waitress this was not how I ordered my steak and she returned it to the kitchen - only to return minutes later to tell me the chef had told her 'it was that steak or nothing as it was expensive' I appreciated the price of £15.95 was expensive as I was going to pay it! She suggested I ordered a sauce to go with it to make it palatable which I did. When the bill arrived we asked to speak to the manager who certainly did not want to speak to us, as I took it as quite as insult to be charged £2.80 for a sauce to enable me to eat a bone dry steak - however we could not get him to engage in a conversation - so we paid our bill apart from the sauce - this was despite having a meal ruined by changing dishes and cold vegetables - not what you expect from a 'fine dining' restaurant not to mention atrocious treatment and lack of attention from the manager

Food was undercooked and service was terrible, when we complained about the food they did nothing about it.

just been to the Rigbye for dinner. Food was very average, and overpriced. They had obviously overbooked, so the service was appalling. We waited 45 minutes for pudding, and on complaining were told that it wasn't true! Probably ok for a quiet pint when it's not busy, but not to be recommended for anything more sophisticated than that!
