This Indian takeaway is by far the nicest takeaway I have ever been to. They have a wide selection of foods, coffee whilst you wait and the staff are very friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone. Keep up the good work.

Moonlight Tandoori – WiganGreat!!!!!
Orange Pizza – WiganYou must go to this restaurant, fantastic food and service as always! nowhere else comes close to beating the raj and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome
Raj The – WiganI was invited by the owner of this Restaurant to write a review in November 2005 for the Standish Directory. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal which was both spicy and yet full of flavour and the staff are always most welcoming. I have since returned to the restaurant many many times. I am steadily working my way through the menu and have yet to be disappointed! Prices are very reasonable too.
Taste Of Bengal The – WiganThe food here is outstanding......the chef at this restaurant is fantastic.....just try it......now!
Raj The – Wigangood buy one get one free restaurant
Charnley Arms – WiganAshfield house restaurant well worth a visit an elegant English country house which stands in its own landscaped grounds. As a wedding venue it caters for 120 to 200 guests, The restaurant has a very good reputation for fine food and wine. The 15 en-suite bedroom hotel also benefits from breath taking views of the Douglas valley.
Ashfield House Hotel and Restaurant – WiganYou walk into this Indian and it is so different to most Indian restaurants. It is a bit more like a "pub restaurant" but I loved it! You get really big portions and the food is lovely, my only fault would be the service which wasn't that fast, (but the waiting time between courses was probably about right). The bill was a brill price too,£28 roughly for 2of us including drinks and we had the "thali" like set meal which consisted of about 3 generous courses, Nan bread etc. (plus my boyfriend ordered and extra Nan bread!)
Suhana Indian Cuisine – WiganReally good Italian restaurant, I'd say it is one of the best restaurants in and around the surrounding area.
Rigalettos – WiganGreat Indian restaurant. Generous servings and great service.
Cinnamon Indian Cuisine – WiganProbably the best Indian restaurant I have ever eaten at. Great staff, . Great atmosphere and the "anniversary" events are not to be missed.
Cinnamon Indian Cuisine – WiganMy family has been visiting this Indian for the past couple of years Talif the owner is always friendly and pleased to meet everyone. The staff are pleasant and speak very good English. The food is excellent with a wide range of choice but not at rip off prices. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine.......try the Tayef kebab or the Tandoori trout as a starter but be warned they are only for the very hungry!. We have eaten Indian food in many many places but the Buraq is up there with the best. 10/10 all round for me
Buraq – WiganExcellent little pub warm and welcoming staff, the wait is worth it and the food was so fresh and tasty. Been here several times and always excellent would recommend to anyone to try. Much more welcoming than its sister restaurant I have to say.
Rigbye Arms Country Inn and Bistro – WiganA little gem in the country, what a menu and the Rigbye lamb simply is the best!! Be prepared to wait for a table though we waited 45 mins but definitely worth waiting for. We will be back to sample more. Definitely a food destination and the staff are very friendly too.
Rigbye Arms Country Inn and Bistro – WiganCan't believe the existing review for the Owls, I live locally and everytime I've been it's been great food for amazing prices 3 courses for £5.95 Mon-Fri and Sunday! How anyone can say it's expensive, is beyond me. Even on Saturday night it's very reasonable. Plenty of choice for meat eaters and vegetarians - give it a try!
The Owls At Standish – WiganI have followed Carlos, the owner of Casa Carlos, around Wigan since he first started trading at the Seven Star on Preston Road outside Standish. His food his authentic, tasty, not too expensive. Casa Carlos has been refurbished in a contemporary style and his very pleasant. The only thing that lets it down is the lack of Spanish staff (but that is a personal opinion) and may be a bit more training for the staff, which seem young and inexperienced (but not unpleasant!). All in all, if you are looking for some good spanish food, go there, you won't be disappointed.
Casa Carlos – WiganConsistently good quality and probably the best Chinese food in the area. Staff always friendly without being intrusive. Strongly recommend a visit
Chinese Garden – WiganNow relocated to newly refurbished premises 2 doors away, the decor and ambience is quite superb. The quality of the food is really excellent with excellent fish courses as well as the familiar curry dishes. Having tried many Indian restaurants in the area and beyond I can highly recommend The Mahabharat as one of the finest Indian restaurants in the UK, up there with The Bombay Brasserie in London both in cuisine and ambience.
Mahabharat Restaurant – WiganAny pizza or pasta £7.95 on Mondays.
