good food, decent service, shame about the location and no parking but I've eaten there many times with different friends and always come out happy and stuffed :-)

Mahabharat Restaurant – WiganI've eaten here many times over the years and the place has continually spiralled downhill since Simon Jones took over, the staff are rude, stroppy and some are agressive, if you leave messages no one gets back to you, they have kids waitressing and the waitresses also admin the facebook
High Moor Restaurant – Wiganfood is cheap but generally microwaved until it is inedible, even the staff confess they don't eat the rubbish they serve. The kitchens don't even have ovens or hobs, just microwaves and a hotplate for steak.
Charnley Arms – WiganMy family and I came to Ashfield on News Years Eve to the family buffet. Firstly we were disappointed that the menu did not cater for children especially not having any ice cream as all children like. Secondly we have been informed that you were advertising on the web site half price for that evening we were very upset to hear this especially as we had spent a lot of money that night. Also I had been three times in December.
Ashfield House Hotel and Restaurant – WiganI have just discovered the delights of sherringtons in Atherton, having just moved to the area in the last year or so,. I called in for a coffee to shelter from the rain . Looking a the food on on offer i decided to have some lunch, Panini was delicous and freshly prepared , victoria sponge with cream , a large portion and equally as delicious. Followed by a latte with a hint of mint again lovely. The place is very clean and the service fantastic . My partner and i are now regular visitors and what a delight this little place is i would highly recommend it you wont be disappointed.
Sherringtons Coffee House – WiganUnfortunately I was unable to sample their food as they do not allow dogs in the pub. I accept that this is entirely their choice and I do not take exception to that. What I did object to was the manner of refusal, and the statement that allowing dogs into a pub was against the law. I accept that dogs are not always wanted in a restaurant but we would have been happy to dine in the bar area. As our dog is only a shih tzu she would hardly have been noticed, and because of their attitude they lost the chance to cater to a party of eight and so we all went to the Ship Inn a Lathom and had a lovely meal.
Prince William Inn – WiganPlease can you give me the web address for your Thai retaurant. Am getting rave reviews about it. Want to have a look at the menu please.
Buraq – Wiganwent today for a change and because we had rememberd it was quite a good pub, we went in and initially liked the greeting and we were told there was a specials board. i glanced at it and although had initially gone for a sandwich decided to try the lancashire hotpot which i often enjoy living in lancashire. it was priced at 9pounds and i thought it must be good at that price:) what arrived was a dismal slop with a crust on top and i instantly regreted my order. thinking it may taste better i lifted the crust off and discoverd a layer or mince beef and what looked like the left over potatoes from yesterday. As a lancashire hotpot is made with lamb i looked at the board and noitced a mince meat and potato pie so i assumed i had been given the wrong order. The waitress informed me that that was not the case and the chef had just made it with beef. i said that means it isnt a lancashire hotpot, she said she would correct the menu board and walked off. I explained to her that i had ordered a lancashire hotpot and expected to receive that. I had to ask for a change of meal which she was reluctant to do and i decided on the piripiri chicken on a bun. she told me that it may be very spicy in a sarcastic manner and that pirpiri chicken means different things at different places. I said i knew what piripiri chicken was and she slopped off. What arrived as my replacement meal was as bad as the first. A frozen style chicken breat that you may get from tesco, heated up and sat on a bun..this was 7pounds. The experirnce was dreadful, i went in a good mood and left deflated, ripped off and although i dont usually write reviews was compelled to do so.
Rigbye Arms Country Inn and Bistro – WiganHad a great meal here a couple of weeks ago. Have had great meals eating in and taking away and they always manage to slip a beer in your hand whilst you wait for the take away to be ready. Really good customer service and excellent authentic food, if you haven't yet try this restaurant!!
Buraq – Wiganl been galimores restuarant with my familly for lunch time last saturday it was great time,we want to go again in the short time....thanx all staff and manager:))))))))))))))))
Gallimores – WiganI recently visited The Poacher for the first time in a while. I was there as part of a work's night out for a colleague's birthday. Considering it was a party of 12, the service was excellent. The food was of good quality, and no one had any complaints. There was a great live band on, which was a pleasant surprise. I can see The Poacher becoming a regular works haunt.
The Poacher – WiganWe always get a fantastic meal from The Buraq ... We've been customers for years. Absolutely delicious! 10/10
Buraq – Wiganwent for lunch on friday 14th june never again it was horrible i asked for beefburger and chip with a side salad the bread on the burger was all soggy through the amount of water from the side salad the chips were the dreqq ends of a bag of frozen chips all hard no potato the burger itself was tasteless and the side salad was just a load of lettuce leaves what a horrible horrible meal will never go again it was disgusting ...
The Owls At Standish – WiganI wont be going to the owls again, the service i received last time was awful. I booked a table for 7oclock for two and even though we arrived 10 mins early it was 25 mins until we got our food order took and then 20 mins later we were still sat there while other people in had come in later and ordered later were being shown to their tables, when i approached the waitress to say we had been waiting ages i just got told we halve to wait for a able to become free i said well other people who came in after us have been shown tables i.e a couple came 20 mins after us which her relpy was silent so I said I would please like to cancel booking she then said ok, which I thought was rude no customer service at I understand things like this can get mixed up but not even a sorry or anything, I will take my custom elsewere in future.
The Owls At Standish – WiganHad a fabulous night at the Owls, 30th birthday and engagement party. Food was fantastic and staff were great, very polite and helpful. Thank you for making our night a very special one, hopefully we weren't too loud!!!!
The Owls At Standish – WiganWe spent a lovely family evening at The Owls, we were a little apprehensive as we were taking my granddaughter who is in a wheelchair, we were looked after very well, the food was served very quickly, was piping hot, we weren't rushed The young girl behind the bar Danni was wonderful going out of her way to accommodate us and meet our needs,we were made welcome and felt very comfortable as was my grandchild who was having her 1st meal out since her accident. Thank you to all the staff at the owls, we will be visiting again,we cannot fault any part of the evening
The Owls At Standish – WiganI have been to the owls many times in the past and have enjoyed it very much, on this occasion we booked in advance so we didn't have to wait to be seated. We arrived early and I went to the reception desk, the lady handed is the menus and we went to get drinks. Within five minutes of getting drinks our meal orders were taken and we were asked to follow the waitress to our table. We followed her through the beautiful restaurant and up the stairs when to my surprise we were shoved in the far corner of the upper floor next to the toilets and several stacks of chairs! We accepted our disappointing table and it wasn't long before our starters arrived. The food was lovely and after the starters the mains soon arrived! The table location aside, this was when the disappointment started. It was over half an hour after we had finished our main (which was very nice) that our plates were cleared away and we were presented with the dessert menu. Not only was the desert menu covered in bits of dried food, the waitress also informed us that two of the five or 6 choices were not available. After a ten minute wait our dessert order was taken and after a further ten minute wait it arrived, the apple crumble was very nice! We were given no indication as to whether the bill would be brought to the table or whether we needed to go to the reception desk so after another long wait with no sign of a waitress we decided to go and pay, we didn't complain about the service at the time as there was a queue and we didn't want to put off any of the customers waiting. I was just disappointed that I had taken some friends who had never been before and had assured them that the owls was a very good restaurant and sadly tonight it did not live up to expectations. Very disappointed!
