I had some excellent reports about the food at The Cross Keys since the new owners had arrived in May 2007, so me & my family had decided it was time to try it out, we were very happy with the food which was outstanding quality in particular the home steak & kidney pie & home made lasagna & the home made apple pie for dessert was simply divine, the cost was very reasonable as well, well done to all concerned.

I do not write reviews normally, but this place is a gem. If you are near Swindon/ Highworth, try this place.... We stayed at Jesmonds for 3 nights Thursday to Saturday, and ate there 2 of the 3 nights.The room was very comfortable, good value and breakfast was exceptional....quality ingredients the key as always. However, the Restaurant for dinner was the best bit (and I'm sure lunch is just as good). The service from both the management and the young staff was spot-on...accurate, with-a-smile and basically an attitude that suggests they really do care that you enjoy your meal. Nothing was too much trouble. The food is excellent, and tremendous value. The wine list is extensive....perhaps could do with a few more wines at the top-end, but we found some excellent wines in the £20-£25 range. You will struggle to find a better overall restaurant experience anywhere in this price-range.

Every time I have been it just feels dirty, there are always tables waiting to be cleared and wiped. There is only ever one person on the bar so you usually have to queue, even early evening mid week or Sunday mornings. It could be so good if the staff bothered a bit more about hygiene and the length of time it takes to serve the food. Wouldn't recommend The Dockle Farmhouse.

What a great experience, we first visited here two weeks ago for a sunday buffet lunch at £7.00/head. Incredible value and great choice of food.

The food is very cheap,but this makes no excuse for it being served about an hour after ordering, and on dirty tables and in dirty surroundings i.e dirty, uncollected glasses everywhere. There is hardly ever any bar staff on, so you always have to wait, then when you do get served they sometimes have to go to the other bar to get a drink. Overall, the hygiene is disgusting and the food is nothing to shout about either. It is good for a cheap drink, that's about it.

Lovely cellar atmosphere and good buzz - great for intimacy and bigger parties. Both times we have had to wait 20 minutes or so over our booked time to be seated, but they did acknowledge this and it wasn't really a problem, unless you're a hasty diner! Tasty food, pleasant staff

Friday 20th July.Road to Oxford blocked. Road to Swindon blocked. All other country lanes flooded. We had been up to our wheel arches in muddy water, were starving hungry, ratty and tired. We then came upon College Farm like a beacon in the dark. Despite being inundated with other refugees the manager and his staff were welcoming, friendly, efficient and provided wholesome, superb value food and service.

I found Feng Shui to serve tasty authentic Chinese food and you receive a lot more choice than in your other average Chinese restaurants. The staff are polite and quick to serve, a lot of effort goes into presentation with interestingly cut carrots and cucumber etc. They also offer the alternative take away right next door with the same food that you can eat at home. It gets 8 out of 10 from me.

A friendly "locals" pub with good food and selection of specials. Beer garden for when the weather is good.

Originally known as the Harrow Inn, this unostentatious Wiltshire hostelry has been impressively transformed by Roger and Sue Jones, who have turned it into a fully-fledged country restaurant famed for its remarkable wine cellar and top-flight, seriously accomplished cooking: a Michelin star is the latest accolade to come its way. 'Real food' sourced from local and specialist producers across the UK forms the backbone of Roger Jones' menu, whether it's Northumberland venison, fish from the Brixham day boats or salt marsh lamb from Harlech. Roast English grey partridge comes with apple sauce and parsnip purée, Gloucester Old Spot pork appears as a threesome involving fillet, belly and a faggot, while fillets of line-caught sea bass are paired with scallop and banana spring rolls and Thai chilli jam. Oriental influences also crop up in - say - a carpaccio of Aberdeen Angus beef with wasabi, soy and enoki mushrooms or fillet of John Dory with tempura of Cornish lobster, while desserts keep it simple with treacle tart and banana ice cream or lime and ginger crème brûlée. Each dish is flagged with an appropriate recommendation from the Harrow's extraordinary cellar. Roger Jones' passion for food is certainly matched by his on-going love affair with wine. His stunning 900-bin list, 'the size of a small encyclopedia', has garnered a fistful of awards (mostly recently Wine List of the Year from the AA, who described it as 'a list you don't want to put down'). The owners also hold regular tasting and even have their own wine business, Harrow Wine Cellars.

The restaurant is great. The price is cheap and the quality is good. I would recommend everyone to go there. Thanks 4 reading

Was really really nice...proper Indian food! The way it should be!

This restaurant tends to get overlooked because it's quite small and tucked away. It's a very friendly place and the food is surprisingly good with prices that are not too high. Definitely worth visiting or using their take-away service. Don't judge it from the outside.
