What a brilliant turn-around in the last year. All the food is prepared on the premises - and was really tasty. They look after the children as well. We went in on Sunday lunchtime. There were four different bitters and a good wine list. They have two miniature pigs, sheep and geese outside and there is a park for the children next to the car park. They are doing a "Credit Crunch Lunch" during the week now - £10 for 2 courses and tea/coffee afterwards.

Awful place, the toilet hasnt been open for 2 years, and is full of paint pots, the food is worse than a motorway cafe, the hostess is rude and not sure they should be running a burger van in view of some comments i have heard.....

The Rattlebone Inn in Sherston is my idea of the perfect Cotswold country inn. We went last weekend and it did not disappoint with a welcoming roaring fire. The flamboyant landlord makes you feel welcome and there's always a tempting menu on offer. I went for the goat's cheese which came with a rhubarb jam - a strange combination, but it worked, followed by Gloucester Old Spot Belly of Pork, in a delicious Scrumpy and mustard sauce (comfort-food at its best)! For dessert, I chose an orange crème brulee - which came with melt-in-the-mouth shortbread. I was reliably informed by the landlord. that the free range meat is all locally sourced and the puddings are all homemade. I've also been in summer when there's been an curry evening held in the pub's garden followed by an African live band.

Bad points. Rude and unfriendly Bar staff. Food takes up to 2 hours after being told 30 to 45 mins. Food cold. Too many customers complaining about time for food. Good points. The building (inside and out) is clean. Food is good value. memo..... Give it a go but expect a very very long wait for your food in busy times.

Lovely seeting by the river and aqueduct at Avoncliffe. Mothers Day Sunday Roast was the best we've ever tasted. Staff were friendly and sittings well organised so very little waiting, just time to sample the real ales. We were presented with huge oval plates of meat of our choice, loads of roasters, Yorkshire puddings, loads of gravy and an enormous plate of 5 different fresh vegetables to share but far too much to eat. Everything tasted fresh and homemade - the homemade banoffee looked wonderful but alas too full for it!

Our favourite Italian restaurant in the Bristol and Bath area. Il chibo e molto buono. Most of the ingredients are authentically sourced from Bristol's Italian supermarket, Licata's, and the place has an courteous, family run, feel. The contemporary white walled interior and simple, tasteful, decor make a welcome change from so many contrived 'trattorias'. A short walk up from arguably the best Indian takeaway in the Bristol/Bath area. Must be something in the water.

great pub ,great atmophere, very good value for money food. The staff cannot do enough for you, very nice place with no hassle of louts and idiots that you get in near by village pubs.

I recently visited the new inn. The greeting was warm and relaxed the food was great and a good choice of beers wines and ales. A small pub where we mixed with the locals who were easy to talk to and very polite. I will visit the new inn melksham again without a doubt.

I was looking to find a nice Italian restaurant in swindon and after seeing the recommendation left on this web site i took the advice and took my wife there for her birthday and we were very impressed and will definitely go back very soon....marks out of ten a big big 9.9 so thanks paul nice one

Me and my Husband go there a lot and we've never once had a bad experience, the staff are so polite, the food is ALWAYS amazing. I don't have a negative thing to say about them. I feel this place is very underrated.

I have been to this restaurant on several occasions either to sit down for a meal or to have a take away. The owner and his wife are very friendly. I have had food from every Chinese restaurant and take away in Wootton Bassett and the food in Jade Tiger is definitely the best. I would never go anywhere else now, you pay for what you get and you certainly get the best from here.

We came across this Pub by accident and found it was both Pub and excellent Indian Restaurant. We have been back and it was just as good as we remembered. Lovely setting in the Village of Ham. Go and try it.

Fortunate enough to move into the village recently and have the Jolly Tar on our doorstep. It delivers great Pub food in warm cosy surroundings at prices that will make your wallet smile too. Personal fave is the Steak with Diane sauce... Give it a go. Good idea to book weekend nights and Sunday lunch.

IT IS THE BEST FOOD AND SERVICE EVER!!!!!

This review is about the New Inn, Semington. I visited this pub with my mum and we were made very welcome by the new landlady (Bev). There is a wide menu choice and all the food is home made and inexpensive. We both opted for the homemade cottage pie with Moles Ale - which was very tasty. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We also got chatting to several of the locals who all commented how much they enjoyed coming to the pub now that Bev had taken over. They often have live music fridays and saturdays which is very popular. Sunday lunch also comes highly recommended. So well done Bev - keep up the good work.
