We had a meal at the Chennai. The whole evening was really good. The food was excellent and well present on the plate. A lot of variety in the menu. The service from the very friendly staff was first class. The surrounding in the restaurant were modern, very well maintained and instantly made you feel at ease. It was an experience that we will repeat in the very near future

Arranged to meet up with a friend, booked into the Travel Lodge next door, we went for a meal in the restaurant, I found it very hard to choose as they had such a wide range on the regular menu and the special menu to match, the food was excellent the staff were very accommodating, its a shame they do not open early enough to serve breakfast for the Travel Lodge next door.

Meadow Farm Milestone – Redditch

i wouldn't venture in there again! appalling food & service! shame it doesn't match up to the wonderful views it hosts

Within walking distance of Holiday Inn Express in Redditch (2 mins). Excellent food, not licensed so you take your own beer/wine or whatever. Reasonably priced - we paid £28 for 3 including starters and the service was excellent and very friendly too. Only downside was it was a little hot inside, other than that it really was a fab meal. Don't be put off as it doesn't look much from the outside.

Recently moved to the area and was unsure of a good curry house. Moving from Birmingham and visiting the Balti triangle regularly, I had a high standard of expectations. I received a take away menu through the post recently and with the range of new dishes and interesting ingredients I was keen to sample. The added advantage of boasting healthy curries was also appealing. The restaurant is well presented and modern. Staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. They provide information about dishes and recommend their favourites. The dinner ware was very contemporary and added to the experience. Now the most important bit, the food. Wow! I was recommended this dish by the waiter and I was blown away. The flavours in the dish were fantastic and avoid of excesses of oil and grease you sometime find. Each of us at the table had incredible tasting dishes with each being completely different and new to our palettes. They are not afraid to use spices or herbs you wouldn’t expect in Indian cooking such as Lemongrass but this added to the unique flavour. The portions were more than adequate, not quite as extensive as Imrams in Sparkbrook, but they certainly won’t leave you feeling hungry. We were given complimentary drinks at the end of the meal as it was mum’s birthday which was very hospitable. The price is slightly above average costing around £15 - £20 pp before drinks for 3 courses but worth it for a special occasion. Looking forward for a return visit very soon.

Booked a table for three on 19th July and the meal was so good I had mention it here. Spoilt for choice with a very imaginative menu;I chose a tuna steak with a pineapple salsa sauce-generous portions of veg' too. A pub plenty of atmosphere and very friendly. A choice of 16 beers! If I live here this would be my local pub.

Dined at the Fig Tree on 18th July 2009. My wife and I love Mediterranean food and we weren't disappointed with the Fig Tree. Superb food in a stylish setting. The lamb souvlaki was tender and perfectly chargrilled. Also recommend the dessert of grilled peaches with amaretto biscuits with mascapone.

I wrote a really excellent report on the Deedar Restaurant in Barnt Green a couple of years ago, sadly I have to say the quality of the cooking has declined remarkably on a recent visit we were unable to eat a lamb starter or a lamb main course as it was so tough, the main course was totally left on my wifes plate, I decided to pay the bill as they wanted to argue as to whether it was poor or not. I wrote a constructive letter of complaint to the manager, but alas, rather surprisingly received no response. Some of my friends who use this restaurant and live locally have expressed a similar views on the recent poor quality of the food. How very sad as not so long ago I would have recommended to anyone for service & quality. MikeB

I love the Barn Owl for many reasons. The lovely big garden, the traditional "Barn " Frontage, the Cask Ales that have just been re-introduced, the lovely staff, or the massive 2 for 1 menu and specials boards. But most of all its because I am made to feel as if I am the most important customer that has ever graced their Hostelry. Just goes to show that not all "branded Pubs" are the same.

DONT BOTHER THE FOOD IS absolutly dreadfull

No hassle getting a table for four at lunchtime. Although the place was busy, our orders were taken and promptly served. The menu is quite extensive but not over expensive and everyone enjoyed their meal. My only moan is the fact that the waitress stands with the tray of condiments and waits while everyone is served, then takes the tray away never to be seen again. Some folk like more than one spoon of french mustard on their steak. "There you go" does not go down too well when being served.

We stopped here for lunch today and found one of the best pub meals and ambiance for a long time. As we walked through the door we were greeted cheerily and the friendly, helpful service continued throughout. The menu changes frequently and so they have it on blackboards. I ended up having a superb steak, kidney and mushroom pie with really tender meat and gravy under a crispy home made pastry crust. My wife had bream in a Herby crust which was also superb. Both with crispy wholesome chips and a selection of vegetables. Mains seem to be between £6.95 and £9.95, with cheaper light bites. All washed down with a good choice of draught ciders. The garden looks lovely (a bit too cold to eat out today), and the toilets were the cleanest and freshest I have ever come across in a pub. Highly recommended.

I have eaten here on several occasions, and everytime the food has been well presented, superb and well priced. I have complimented the Chef, after every meal

I should never go to this pub this landlord is rude and could do with a customer service course refresher

Very good value for money, 2 for £8 during the week, shame it's not extended to weekends but hey. Meals are large enough to satisfy and you don't leave feeling as if you wasted your money on a pile of horse manure :) they also do a Curry night on a Wednesday evening which the other half and I are going out to try tonight!...well recommended, although I would say if you have kids, take a drink for them as the kids drinks are a little on the pricey side.

We visited the Swan on Saturday after a lovely stroll around the picturesque village of Broadway. The place has a modern yet rustic feel. the food was good. We chose from the set menu. The service was very slow, however it was explained to us professionally, that they were a man down that day. I would recommend this place.

Excellent freshly cooked food with many imaginative dishes. Currently doing 3 courses for £10 plus supplements for some dishes. Usually gets packed, even midweek - so book. No, I am not trying to hype it but think that this standard of food should be applauded and worthy of a little of my time in appreciation.
