Interesting cafe with comfortable colourful decor. Food was plentiful and tasty and good value for money. So nice that there’s a different style of food in the neighbourhood too.

We keep returning to the Olive Kitchen, which says a lot as to how good it is. We have been for brunch several times, Mothers Day, lunches and takeaways. The food is fresh, vibrant, tasty and interesting. Please don’t get me started on the cakes! The perfect way to finish with coffee, and often a sneaky slice to take home. Friendly staff, and a good drinks list. What a querky building too! Love it.

On our latest visit to Union Street Brasserie we ordered two Full English Breakfasts. All the elements were nicely cooked and presented however on one of the meals the large mushroom was difficult to cut and a replacement was similar. Overall it is a good place to stop for lunch friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Bjut we were dissappointed in the large mushroom on one meal

This is a brilliant place covers a wide range from coffee and cake to a very satisfying and tasty complete meal The food is delicious and varied Staff helpful and charming and even dogs are made to feel welcome

We came for lunch today .a party of 4 for a bithday celebration. We have used this place for a very long time and its always been fantastic. Above and beyond in everyday. But today the service was terrible. We we had to ask for drinks.we had to ask to take our food order .the drinks were wrong first round. The food was delicious but we had to ask for the sweets. As we had waited and no one came to clear the table .let alone ask about pudding. We felt totally let down. As we have told people so many zines how good this place is .gutted

A first for an evening meal with friends wow what great food and good service lovely choice of mezze colourful and very appetizing delicious wine too staff very friendly and helpful in explaining the menu we will be back

We had a lovely meal at Olive on Saturday evening. We shared many delicious dishes and found every one very tasty indeed. The staff are always friendly and attentive. We'll be back for sure!

The restaurant was very busy and when our food arrived I could see why. A real effort has been made to make a tasty but different side salad and the homemade dipping sauces on the side were delicious. We did have to wait quite a while for our order to arrive but there were 7 of us. An error was made by the kitchen which was very quickly rectified. The room was uncomfortably hot until the door was opened. All in all a very enjoyable lunch. We will be happy to repeat the experience.

Food was quick to arrive, colourful , but for me rather to much for brunch. Looking around at other tables there seemed to be alot of wasted food. May be offer smaller portions as a choice. It may be a good idea to keep the breakfast menu on all day and not stop it at 12 ! Just a personal observation. There was a nice friendly atmosphere , if a bit echoey. The service was good. We thought the prices were a bit high compared with other places locally. Especially for drinks.

Another delicious lunch at Olive - never disappoints

We had a lovely lunch on Bank Holiday Monday. The food is beautifully presented, fresh, vibrant and extremely tasty! Great selection to choose from and all our party were very happy with what they chose. Don't mention the cakes !! no room so we took some home to eat later in the day. We will be visiting again soon and it is so lovely to have this locally.

Came for an afternoon tea to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. The afternoon tea was amazing and tea service was amazing too as was ask if we wanted more tea and was asked if everything ok. This made our experience brilliant and will go back again as the customer service was amazing. Thank you for the great memories we made on our anniversary.

Excellent as always. My only moan is the music which was intrusive as it was quite loud. I asked them to turn the volume down which they did and it was fine. The food is delicious here. Great vegan choices.
