Good friendly and great place to be for the best Italian i had eaten for a long time .

Brilliant food, top service!!!

I have now visited this restaurant twice and both times had an enjoyable evening. The food is extremely well prepared and there are a good range of creative dishes. Prices are average and therefore value for money is as good as I've found. There was also live music on the Friday night and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and friendly. Staff are engaging and efficient, without intruding on your meal and the head chef also takes time to talk to customers. Overall I would highly recommend seeing for yourself.

Two of us went for lunch. My first visit to a purely vegetarian restaurant. I was really impressed with the choice of food, Atmosphere/setting was good and I will definitely be going back again.

I have been to this restaurant twice now and it is fantastic. Taking into consideration that it is a chain restaurant, the price is excellent relative to the quality of food. Everything is freshly prepared and tastes delicious. The setting in the grand assembly rooms is beautiful.

To be honest I was pretty much lost for words after I had eaten that meal. The food was delicious, the staff were so polite and didn't at all look flustered during the busy period. The house wine was lovely. I don? really want to say anything else and spoil it for when you pick up your knives and forks to delve into your starters!! Just go there - its fab!

A lovely Turkish restaurant!!! I was there a little while ago for my birthday party- wanted something different from the usual Italian/Chinese/not many options... I took a risk cos no one I knew had been there before, and I didn't regret it. I loved it! The service was quite good and friendly, the prices moderate and the food delicious! I am a Mediterranean girl myself and I know what I'm talking about! The location and the outside don't do justice to it, I must say- it looks like a buffet sort-of-place, but once you enter inside you understand you made a wise choice of going in. Will definitely go there again, and I wish I had discovered it earlier!!!

Had a really nice time here for a fathers day sunday lunch. Good table with a view of the bridge and Cliffords Tower. Food quality is good and the portions (I had fish stew) very filling. Recommended

Delrio's was recommended by my sister who studied in York for a year as the place to go for Italian food. It's in a cellar. We sat in an alcove which was pretty quirky. The food was totally gorgeous, as too was the Italian waiter. We returned on the Sunday and were asked if we would like to sit outside. Another surprise!!! They have a patio right on York walls - oh and a little candle-lit cocktail bar (which we didn't realise on our first visit). This time we ordered from the specials board (which we weren't aware of on our first visit) and the food was fantastic. Great vegetarian options and by far one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten - even in Italy!

My wife and I went on a Saturday night. The place was packed. We were quoted 30mins for a table and were sat in 25. Everything from start to finish was excellent. The food was great and the music and atmosphere were even better. Great night out.

We've been here several times. Lots of atmosphere - there's a Turkish room upstairs though the main theme is Spanish. It's a tapas bar. Tapas available in three sizes or you can choose one of four selection trays. It's all vegetarian. For an extra charge they'll let you carve your name in the table!

Although at first glance, the menu may appear pricey to some. The quality by far exceeds the cost. Well mannered staff, great ambience and exquisite food. Whether you are out for a special occasion or a dining casually - The Living Room feels comfortable.

The food and service was excellent and even though the prices are on the high side, the quality of the food was outstanding, so value for money really. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, Their professionalism and friendliness was second to none.

This is a fantastic restaurant which we visit regularly. The food is always to a very high standard and the service is second to none. The ambience is great with live music and views overlooking the ouse it is perfect for an evening dinner or Sunday brunch not to be missed if you are eating out in York.

Quite simply the best lightest and spicy Thai food so far, beats the major players locally into second place. Impeccable service and nice surroundings, don't pass this little gem up ! Reasonable prices and well worth it too- welcomes families

found that restaurant on web. when i seen it I thought it did look beautiful from outside and also inside nicely decorated. the view was fantastic all the castle and tower (14 century). it was the great choose. Apparently it was the one of the best in area i have been told by the taxi driver. the food did not let down the place. you must see and dine in that place. it is a little pricey if you had the specials not more than you pay for a decent and romantic evening, i recommend to anybody looking for a nice place.

Excellent for a quick eat or a leisurely meal with friends. Great wine list, friendly staff especially the manager Jenny who tended to our every need, make yourself a regular before everyone finds out about this place.
