Five of us had a very enjoyable Christmas Fayre lunch yesterday....we all thought the menu & quality of the food was an improvement on last year. The service was impeccable & the only slightly negative thing was the atmosphere. It was worryingly quiet with only two tables apart from ourselves.

The food was very very nice. I had the sea bass which were huge fillets with crispy skin and very good buttery white fish. Nice fresh vegetables served on the side. All the food had by our party was really enjoyed. We had nice attentive service throughout without being intrusive. Pub and toilets spotless. Will be back and would definitely recommend. We couldn't fault the food, we were all served pretty quickly and we were all eating at the same time, the food was all hot and all the staff were very efficient and friendly. Our last visit was Sunday the 7th of December. There was 4 of us and again everything was perfect. Thank you to you all the staff at The Red Lion. Helen
