OLIVE GROVE HAS VERY POOR OPENING TIMES AND IT WAS HARD TO MAKE A BOOKING WITH LIVING SOCIAL VOUCHER. RANG 5 TIMES AND VOUCHER EXPIRED.
TOLD US LIES THAT IT WAS LIVING SOCIAL WHO WOULD NOT ALLOW EXPIERED VOUCHER. LIVING SOCIAL TRIED TO GET THEM TO HONOUR VOUCHER BUT THIS BUSINESS HAVE JUST POCKETED THE MONEY. COST US £46 FOR NOTHING. HOPE THEY GO BUST IT IS WHAT THEY DESERVE

me and my daughter went for lunch to the Olive Grove on Saturday. The food was excellent. I had the risotto which was divine and my daughter had the chicken burger. The desserts are to die for. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Went to The Olive Grove with my Partner on a Living Social deal and was pleasantly surprised. We were warmly welcomed by lovely staff and both served two plates of delicious food. I was particularly impressed with the stuffed chicken breast which was very tasty and served with wonderfully rich creamy mash.

We had a lovely meal there this week. The service was very friendly, and the food well presented. The chicken wrapped in Parma Ham was divine.

Visited at the weekend after having recently moved back to the area and we were really disappointed with the service and the food. The place seemed to be flooded with staff which was odd as we were the only customers. Parents with older babies or toddlers should be mindful of the fact that they were unable to provide highchairs or booster seats so best to take your own. We were there for a lunchtime snack (sandwiches and a burger from the children's menu for our little girl) which took an eternity to arrive, in fact some of it didn't arrive at all. We eat out quite regularly and always try to patronise independent places too, we are happy to wait for quality food when the staff are busy etc but we were the only customers and it took nearly 40 mins, it is safe to say that we could have traveled home and cooked something ourselves in the meantime. When the food eventually arrived the only order that was complete was my husbands, the wrong sandwich had been made for myself and they hadn't been able to get the fryer working to make the chips, which were accompanying the burger from the children's menu. As a gesture of goodwill they eventually brought out a large portion of chips as opposed to a children's portion and deducted 10 from the cost of the children's meal because we had had to wait for the chips - which doesn't really make up for the fact that we had finished eating by that stage and our daughter was fed up and ready to leave, what should have been a nice family lunch out resembled something of a relay with each of us eating separately whenever we could get hold of the food we had ordered! In addition to the poor service, we were also a little perturbed by the fact that the waiting staff seemed to be holding something of a staff meeting, about the production of bills and who is responsible enough/capable enough of completing the task which was well within our earshot - we understand that such discussions probably do need to take place but surely it would be more professional to do it before the venue opened?Overall it was a disappointing trip and we wouldn't go there again.

Just visited the Olive Grove and am sorry to say the service was atrocious. I am sorry 1 hr and 15 minutes to be served Bury Black Pudding and a poached egg is not acceptable. Even worse the black pudding was just a slice and had probably never seen Bury in its life. Sorry but this place is over priced and the service is definitely not worth the money !!

I recently went to the Olive Grove in Ramsbottom with my 11month old, the staff were very helpful and accommodating as it's not designed for lots of prams, i would say no more than 3 at once. The food was excellent, i really love carrot cake but i have a nut allergy but guess what 'Betty's' carrot cake DOESN'T have nuts...Excellent! We will be going back soon!
