I ate at the sanctuary in Alnwick castle, a relatively new restaurant. Firstly the decor was lovely - big leather sofas in the wine bar which is a big plus and the castles ambience floats through to the restaurant. All the starters looked fantastic but i was desperate for dessert so went straight in for a perfectly cooked fillet steak with sautéed potatoes and creamed asparagus with a fantastic rich jus. It was fantastic and for dessert I had the white chocolate and lindisfarne mead cheesecake. I would definitely recommend this place. Price wise it is a bit pricey but its worth it!
