An absolutely top night out. Visited La Plancha last night for my friends 40th birthday. 10 of us in total & we all had a fantastic time, the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed (made me feel I was on my hols). We were served by Ellie & Breda both were delightful they pulled out all the stops to make the evening go smoothly. The food was exceptional as was the service, there was plenty of food for all. If you have a large party like we did you can ask about a package tailored to your requirements we had welcome drinks down stairs in the bar, the gourmet menu including desert (a must to try is Lumpy Bumpy) & 3 bottles of wine & soft drinks / water nothing is too much trouble . Highly recommend this restaurant I'll definitely be going back.

Saturday 28th May 2011. Romantic meal for two. First time here and I was impressed. Style is fine dining and did not let us down. Attentive but non-invasive service, amuse-bouche and pre-desert included. smoked trout, caviar and crab starter, lamb main and cheese board were all yummy! Will definitely be back!

Recently visited The Harrier, & what a difference from what i expected! The pubs had a bit of bad press from what I've heard, but rumours are NEVER even close to the truth, so thought I'd pay a visit! Hats off to the management & her team for the obvious hard work that goes into the place... Friendly, chatty bar staff, warm welcome, excellent selection of both drinks & food, superb service, fantastic home cooked meal.... REAL CHIPS!!! & on top of that, a recent addition of a new function room, decked outdoor area, kids play area, & best of all, a small petting farm/area.....2 piglets, a shetland pony, & 4 goats.... what a FANTASTIC idea!!! Cannot say enough about the place, other than, 'Rumours, bad publicity, gossip!?! I think its just that!' Definitely a 'MUST VISIT' for the summer hols!

Been here 3 times food is excellent decor fab all linen is cotton not cheap paper ones's lovely plates and cutlery would highly recommend and bring your own drinks..

I went with a group of friends last week and was impressed with the venue, the service, the food and the value for money at £9.95 for 3 courses. Even better, you take your own alcohol. Try it out! I'll be going again soon.

Fantastic food. Possibly the best balti restaurant in the entire selly oak/stirchley/Kings Heath Region. We keep going back.

I was told by the guys at Lamborghini Birmingham to visit Simpsons has they were told it was a fantastic experience. Well the restaurant experience was perfect, upon arrival you are greeted with front of house, addressed by your surname and escorted into the restaurant area, then passed to another host to see you to your table. Our host (i don't use the word waitress) was Jenny and what a impeccably dressed lady, well spoken and articulated each dish has it was served. The whole experience was great, starters of Grey Mullet & Terrine just melted in your mouth, followed by the beef which was cooked has we requested and the knife just cut through it seamlessly. The atmosphere and ambiance of Simpsons, I believe is difficult to match anywhere in Birmingham. Thank you Simpsons staff, you are definitely my first choice restaurant in Birmingham. India Garden is literally the best Indian restaurant in West Midlands. It was my first time their and staff were all A1 presented and were lovely. Food was so good its indescribable, and the best thing about it is how cheap and cheerful the restaurant is. We had a meal for four with wine and drinks and bill came up to only £35.00 and it could of been cheaper if we went for the £8.95 deal which they have got. £8.95 for any starters, main dishes, rice and naan, or £8.95 for the All you can eat buffet!! The best thing about that evening was when we got free deserts as a thank you for coming. I fully recommend it to anybody that loves Indian food. Best too book aswell as they are really busy due to the standards of food, soon to be a Michelin star restaurant I say.

What a shock sitting here in South Africa for a number of years but when i come home Bedders is my first place to visit, now i here the family sold up. I as a little girl would hand over my shopping list and the money and for my wait 2 chips would be wrapped for me to eat, I remember the daffodils from Bill to his wife. My mom Peggy worked sometimes in the kitchen, My brother John visited for his pie and chips,Pat Johnny what happened? Jackie

If you want good service go to this restaurant,if you want good food than don't ! Bland and microwaved meat with a universal sauce. Easy cheap food !!
