Spicewoods – SolihullExcellent service. Fantastic food (lamb chops were great as were the Karahi Ghosht and Chicken Tikka Masala). Nice atmosphere
Hajee’s Spices – Balti TriangleVery nice site!
Aria Bistro – Birmingham City CentreI went to Pizza by Goli with 2 friends and ordered a fillet steak. I was served a scrag end buried in a tomato based sauce. When I complained to staff the chef came to the table and apologised - 'he didn't notice that it wasn't a fillet when he removed it from the fridge'. Unforgivable - meal removed from the bill.
Pizza By Goli – Sutton ColdfieldWe have tried every Indian restaurant in Sheldon and Yardley and the Varsha is the best by miles. Friends we have taken there have also adopted the Varsha as their favourite too. We continue to use the varsha at least once every week, come rain or shine!
Varsha – SheldonMy wife and I visited the Brades for the first time since it was refurbished. The food was fantastic, the rock band were not too loud yet very good and Sam the landlord was the perfect host. This pub had a reputation for being a druggie pub and a trouble spot, but I can assure anyone wanting to visit it now that Sam has cleaned it up perfectly. He doesn't even allow swearing. We will be back as regulars now. Well done Sam and Pauline. Jeff.
Brades Tavern – OldburyA superb restaurant on the side of the pub, really cosy atmosphere with excellent food and great friendly service.
Spice Room @ Old Royal Oak – SolihullReally good ,the right combination of a fun atmosphere and sophistication and even better food. a favourite.
Deolali – MoseleyI went to Akrams to celebrate my 23rd birthday with a group of friends. I was able to book the table well in advance and to confirm numbers just the night before to ensure my table was ready in time. I had balloons sent to the restaurant as decoration and these had be placed on the table before me and my 13 guests arrived. The service was quick considering there was so many of us and no mistakes were made with any of the orders. At the end of the meal one of the waiters approached my partner and asked if there was a cake for me. We had not bought one so the waiter suggested a ice cream desert with a candle. It made the night that extra bit special for me as it was completely unexpected. I was able to have a birthday photo with Mr Akram himself. We are regular visitors to Akrams, it is the best curry house we have been to and will continue to visit in the years to come!!
Akrams Kashmiri – StirchleyHad a lovely meal at the varsha last night, the food was wonderful and we will defo be going back
Varsha – SheldonWhere do I start with this lousy place, Waited at the counter to order food with my daughter and was totally ignored by the clowns behind the counter., although after five minutes one of the staff behind the counter spotted his friends outside and waved them in and promptly started processing their order , yep we were still ignored never mind the fact that we had patientley queued for five minutes and we were the only ones in the queue so I Guess it wasn't that hard for the staff to figure out who to serve first. Once we did eventually order , my daughters food arrived within ten minutes however mine took 30 minutes which i not really acceptable and no apology from any of the staff for the delay, Fast forward we requested the bill three times and forty minutes later it still hadn't arrived so we had to queue up again with the people waiting to order just to pay for our food. Food was average when ot eventually arrived , service was poor , staff were rude , ignorant and I would not recommend this place to any one. Word of advice walk 2 minutes up the road and sample Lahore Kebab house which is far better , staff are great and the food is much better although a little bit more pricier but quality costs extra
Kafe Karachi – Balti TriangleNice meal, restaurant supervisor David very pleasant helped us choose a very nice wine. Food tasted like we were in Italy and the new decor is second to none. Would def recommend try soon
Portobello Italian Ristorante – WalsallNice meal, restaurant supervisor David very pleasant helped us choose a very nice wine. Food tasted like we were in Italy and the new decor is second to none. Would def recommend try soon
Portobello Italian Ristorante – WalsallThe bast Pizza in Birmingham is Pino PIzza
Pino Pizza and Pasta – Selly OakI went to duet last year near Xmas and i don’t eat large meals but the prawns in batter for a starter was delicious and the chicken korma and rice was to die for, I could not of asked for a better meal at a reasonable price. Definitely recommend
Duet Cuisine – Fort DunlopIf you are looking for a no frills traditional Indian restaurant, which uses fresh ingredients and doesn't overdo the sugar and colourings etc, you can't do much better than this. Prices are very reasonable too compared to other more "trendy" places.
Bengal Garden Restaurant – Sutton ColdfieldWhat a menu! Excellent service. The food surpassed expectation. Every ingredient is indulgent on the taste buds. I highly recommend!
The Oriental – Birmingham City CentreThis USED to be one of my favourite restaurants as the food is quite good although it is overly priced. Unfortunately, I will NOT be going back again. I booked a table for a birthday meal and could not be 100% sure of the numbers because it was during Ramadhan and it was proving difficult for some of my friends to commit completely. After many long conversations with the incredibly rude, inconsiderate and arrogant manager AJAY BHATIA, we finally booked a table for 12 and when due to unforeseen circumstances, only 7 of my friends could make it, the manager and some of the waiting staff treated us all with incredible disrespect. Drinks orders were taken and not brought to us, we were ignored by the staff on many occasions and to top it all, as I left the restaurant, the manager Ajay had the audacity to have a go at me! I am a business woman myself and believe me, if I spoke to my clients and treated them in the way I was treated my business would not last 5 minutes. I think Mr Bhatia needs some strong lessons in etiquette and how to excel in customer service!
