Terrible. Extremely long wait, very, very expensive considering it is in Newtown! Food too salty and staff impolite. One feels like one is begging for the food. Go to Barton Arms just across the road, much nicer staff and Thai cuisine is exquisite.

i think that the food in your cafe is nice the only reason why i like the hot food is because my mum works on the grill and she cooks it to the way i want it my older sister Shelly works there. i like the staff that are there i really like the gathers Darren and Michelle

Well, what can we say, this place is fantastic the menu is huge you expect a small choice when you eat at a buffet restaurant but there must be a dozen or more dishes for starters and same for mains and even desserts, but it was gorgeous too!!! Absolutely wonderful evening and the staff were very nice too! Cant wait to visit again. WELL DONE BUFFET ISLAND!!!

Regular patron and always have an excellent meal - yesterday my chicken & mushroom balti with a piping hot naan was really good. Would always recommend.

I went to Bourneville fish bar on Monday there opening day. i ordered fish and chips and they were absolutely amazing. i am definately going back there again. the shop is very clean and the staff are really polite. 10 out of 10

Quite simply the best kebab/chippy/burger joint in the area. The place is always clean the food is always fab and the serving staff always polite and friendly. This is a well established family business which is primarily a take-away although seating is available if you wish to eat in. This place is cherished by the locals and always high on list of our suggested eats if not cooking at home or just fancy a treat.

I went to this restaurant with my husband. the place has an amazing family atmosphere to it. it is very small and cosy, however it was still buzzing. we ordered a package meal for two. the food was amazing, you could taste the flavours and the freshness. it was generally an amazing meal. staff were friendly, and prices were extremely reasonable. i have been recommending this place to family and friends, since!

Have been attending the Plaza for a number of years now, place is the same as ever. Food and Service was excellent, but the more we go, the worse it appears to be getting. Noticed that many people have complained regarding how quick the main is on your table so soon after having your starters. It feels like they want to get you out of there asap. Bit strange as its empty most of the time! From the moment you sit down, they want to take your starter and main meal order! Whats the rush? ... i like to have a few drinks and relax before i tuck in to a main meal. Always assist that the meal is prepared once we have had a few drinks, and not cooked and left there and re-heated until we are ready to eat! A lot of people i know are now avoiding this place and heading off to Channis (stratford road) or Havana (warwick road)

very good food and staff, good as anywhere else, but very expensive to use on a regular basis, prices need to be reduced by 15% at least, then this place will be a roaring success

I love eating at San Carlo. My boyfriend takes me for special occasions, and it's just so special. The restaurant is in a great location - just off New Street, and next to Louis Vuitton - which means it's always packed with beautiful people. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome - from the welcome at the door, the arm around your shoulders as you walk up the stairs, the extravagant air kisses, and the pleasant service - nothing is missed by the staff at San Carlo to ensure you have a fabulous evening. The food is always amazing - I love the pasta and chicken dishes that they do. The food always comes out so quickly as well, and it tastes magnificent. I can't recommend San Carlo enough - make sure you go next time you're in the area.

it was a crap restaurant

terrible place rude staff i ordered 5 breakfasts one was a vegi breakfast i recieved iy with a vegi sausage and a piece of bacon on top......... when i commented and said i'd ordered vegi they took it away took bacon off and gave it me back.......obviously i complained to a tut and a grumpy sorry terrible never going back again.

what a lovely atmosphere, never seen ambience like this before, the food was Divine and so lovely( Try the mixed Mazzaa, very good value), the music was great, and to put the icing on the cake, there was a great belly dancer that lifted the atmosphere, The old looking manager from Syria, I Can't remember his name I think Souhail, was tremendous, he offered me few glasses of wine to welcome me for the first time to his restaurant, so that what I call a true arab hospitality.and great customer service with a human touch... and that what I think make a difference to other good places such San Carlo, or Banks, where the food is good but the service is disappointing... I will definitely book my company Christmas party for 50 people there. It is very nice to see places like this in Birmingham. thank you Syriana sabeh sabeh ya Bouha sabah Amine

well what a nice surprise in bearwood, this Victorian building has been refurbished to an excellent standard. me and my husband went for a bite to eat i had the duck while my husband had the lamb, i found my duck a little bloody and asked the waitress if they could cook it a little longer. with apologies she took it away and a fresh non bloody piece of duck was cooked to my perfection. the staff are friendly even down to the tall man that opens the door for you. its a pleasant surprise.

Kababish was absolutely fantastic. Staff were lovely and polite, food was cooked fresh and was authentic and piping hot when it reached the table. Will definitely dine there again. Thank you for a brilliant night out.
