Curry Mahal – BathReturned after 35 years to find delightful hosts and staff. Good choices, ample servings. Thoroughly recommend
New Inn – BathThe present owners of The George have developed the facilities over the past 3 or 4 years. It's still very village pubby when you walk in with 3 or 4 cask ales as well as farm cider and a small but very good selection of moderately priced wines. There is a good selection of very good food to eat in the bar or restaurant where there is usually an exhibition of paintings or photographs by local artists, which are also for sale. Much of the food, especially the meat and fish, is locally sourced and is cooked and presented with flair at reasonable prices. Monthly (last Thursdays) curry evenings are popular and the choice good (buffet style) and presented wine testing? regularly organised. Very friendly, excellent food and drink and well worth a visit.
The George Inn – WellsBlostins is a well-loved institution in Shepton Mallet of many years' standing. The staff are always very welcoming from the moment you step inside from the pavement into the small bar where you choose from blackboard menus which change little over time. There's ?a carte, pay by the number of courses, or mix and match from both. Good local food, skilfully prepared and served, with an excellent and changing wine list, moderately priced. There are regular devotees from the local area.
Blostins – Shepton MalletHave to agree with previous comments. Went along for a 'Sunday lunch' and was totally impressed with the quality of the food and level of service. Will have to go back to try their proper Greek food. The Kleftico (my roast lamb) was excellent indeed.
Sousta Greek Taverna – CongresburyFirst visit to Bells, which we thoroughly enjoyed, the food & service was outstanding, we were staying in Bristol for a couple of nights and choose the restaurant after reading previous reviews. We would thoroughly recommend it.
Bells Diner – Bristol City Centregreat fresh food, the mussels turned up just as i arrived. very friendly service. would recommend to anyone.
Casamia – Westbury-on-TrymThe food is really nice with small romantic tables and good price, but the manager is a bit moody at times and it can be very difficult to book!
La Bonne Vie – TauntonAfter having Christmas dinner at the huntsman we have returned several times since a carvery for 3.99 in the week what a bargain lovely staff and a great atmosphere I? sure we will return time and time again
Huntsman Inn – Staple HillFAULTLESS, FRIENDLY SERVICE, ALONG WITH GREAT FOOD. PRICE TRULY UNDER VALUED. 5*
Good Earth The – WellsAbsolutely delicious food! The Manager kindly organised a menu for a 40th party for 30 people. The food was fantastic, the service great (even though they had to put up with 7 young children running around!) and extremely good value! I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Cobblestones – Mineheadthis is a great little cafe hidden in the centre of bath, it offers good music, cosy atmosphere with a hint of eastern decor. Has a great outdoor seating area for those hot summer days to relax with a glass of wine with your lunch or just coffee and a newspaper!
Bonghy-Bo – BathVery poor and slow service. But you get what you pay for!
Red Lion Sizzling Pub – BathLovely food, a good range of dishes from mild to really spicy.
Jamuna – BathThey do a wonderful Sunday Lunch, but get there early as it gets busy.
Fleur De LIs – Staple HillThe old harbour house restaurant was a pleasant and charming place in a idyllic location. The food was of an outstanding quality yet still at a modest price. The decor in the main dining rooms were exquisite which added to the overall feel to the restaurant.
