Always such a treat to eat at Goodfellows. Fabulous food freshly prepared and cooked expertly before your very eyes. Exquisite service. Great ambience. Top marks all round. We cannot wait to visit Goodfellows again.

My friend and I had a lovely first visit to Olive. Was delighted with such a varied menu. Even more delighted that the staff cared for me as a coeliac disease sufferer. Service was excellent and we will definitely visit again.

Absolutely delicious lunch on Wednesday 22/01/25

Well what alovely evening we had, from the very moment we sat down,all of us said how lovely and comfortable the chairs were, not on top of the other customers lots of space.That was the start of the compliments we shared, the food was great, the staff were fun and very attentive and I was so happy as I wanted it to be special and it was. Thankyou.

Excellent food in this lovely central restaurant in Wells. We were a group of 4 friends and all had a different meal and dessert and were very impressed. Only slight comment is about the lighting... could it be a little softer for the evening? otherwise a really great place to eat in

The food was excellent but I feel I have to mention the service. We asked for water with our food, it didn't arrive, had to ask again plus when we were paying the bill, the staff behind the counter seemed more interested in chatting to each other rather than concentrating on dealing with us and paying. Just didn't feel very professional when you're in a customer service industry.

There is literally no where better to eat in the region. The quality of food, service and the entire experience is phenomenal. If you really want to treat someone to something mind blowingly special this is the place. This is a Bath secret - the place for birthdays, anniversaries or big celebrations. Be sure to book well in advance though! They are rightly very popular

This was our first visit to Menu Gordon Jones, having been meaning to try it for years! We had a lovely evening which felt very special. The 7 course surprise tasting menu was absolutely delicious although the cheese course was everso slightly disappointing ( we love cheese!) The service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate. Highly recommend for a special treat!

First time visit to this lovely intimate restaurant. Did not know what to expect, however, needn’t have worried, the meal was excellent and well-presented. Portions might be a bit on the small side for some, but typical of fine dining. Would definitely book again. NB there is a small public car park at around 250 metres otherwise it is on street only

This was my second lunch visit to Menu Gordon Jones and a great way to celebrate my wifes PhD graduation. Yet again it was superb in every way. Every course was so delicious and perfectly presented that it was both a lovely surprise to receive them, as it was shame every time you finished them. The atmosphere was wonderfully laid back and in no way pretentious, while the music provided plenty of late teens nostalgia. The hosting was warm and familiar, but in no way overbearing, with win offered at welcome intervals and water provided (no upsell to get still or sparkling bottles) and presented in a unique way. It was little touches like that and the all-round quality of the food that means we have to come back in the spring, when I am sure they will be showcasing the best the season has to offer.

Delightful lunch, space to talk in comfort, exquisite flavoursome food, fabulous value too. Don’t hesitate to book just do it and you’ll enjoy the whole amazing experience.

Pleasant staff and interesting food. I wish the service had been better, Also was sat by the 'polythene' windows and it was cold.

Another lovely visit to Olive for a late lunch to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We both had an amazing meal again, choosing from their new menu. The dishes looked incredible and tasted delicious, we also found room for a slice of their gorgeous cakes..we both can’t wait to go again.
