Excellent! We were in Wells for our Anniversary weekend. We were recommended by our host at Beryl Country house to try the Olive Tree. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was good and the service was spot on. It made for a great evening out and it was also great value considering the top quality food.

The food as ever is delicious and beautifully presented and Martine and Reynaud make sure everything runs effortlessly. The whole experience is a delight.

I was a little disappointed, However how wrong was I. It is in fact is a great seating location . Both of us watched with great attention to the chefs work. Its the closest i have been to a chefs table. We both found it very interesting. Now the food all I can say is that its the best meal we have both had for some time. Staff were very young but very good at serving customs. The Olive Tree is well worth a visit

Service was good, we were advised that there might be a slight delay with food, but the wait was not too long. The food when it arrived was presented well and tasted very nice. We had three courses each. There was a good selection of each courses.

Problem with the restaurant is the space available, sitting in front of where the food is being cooked is not conducive to a good atmosphere (the reason I stopped going to this restaurant when it was Goodfellows). I suggest diners are made aware of where they will be placed when making a reservation. Upstairs could be a better option for the proprietors.
