Excellent food, beautiful real Ale, and lagers, I have been here quite a few times now, the food is always very good.

Nando's is fantastic, and offers some of the most delicious foods around. The service and staff were impeccable.

We had heard good things about this restaurant just off Queen St and we were very impressed, not least by the staff who were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The decor is smart and the wine list notable for some top boutique wines. The new chef has come from the famous Michelin Starred Pennyhill Park, where he worked with Michael Wignall and it shows. The pigeon breast starter and Lamb 3 ways were delicious. However the staff made the experience for us. Try it.

We had a fab breakfast here the other day! Has to be the best in Cardiff, freshly squeezed juice, massive portions of delicious bacon, eggs, sausage pattie, mushrooms etc all cooked fresh. Fab value, great service.

This has to be not only the best Italian Restaurant in South Wales but in the U.K.. The service and atmosphere is beyond compare as is the quality of the food. My wife and I have been regulars almost since it has opened and have been proud to introduce a lot of our friends to the pleasures of this fine establishment. the only thing to be aware of is that everything on the menu is available as a takeaway but it appears that the potions are even more generous than those eat inside.

Absolutely delicious! My family and I visited just before Christmas and had a very enjoyable visit. Very well presented and it was busy for a week night which is always a good sign. The place was spotlessly clean and the staff very polite and efficient. The meal was honest and home cooked which pleases me enormously. I had a steak which I read was Celtic Pride and have never had a more tender and flavoursome steak. We all enjoyed and finished off with a dessert and coffees. We will definitely be calling again. Very highly recommended

The decor of Deshi Spice was bland and inauthentic - just like the food. The curries came in garish range of bright red, yellow and orange and tasted pretty much the same. They know too well that most of their trade is passing tourists and have no real competition, so the effort they make is minimal. I would definitely NOT recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Indian food, a warm atmosphere and genuine and attentive staff.

This is the bestest Italian restaurant ever and we have been to many. we always like to eat here,and also take the children,lovely family run business. love love love it the lasagna is amazing and also the home made garlic bread yum yum x

Stayed for one night on the way to Pembrokeshire for Christmas. Hotel was packed with party goers and there was a lovely atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the dinner we had in the evening was delicious, even though they were busy with big parties, the food was well presented, beautifully cooked and the wine list was very reasonably priced. Would not hesitate in staying at this hotel again.

lovely place, open on st stephen's day to warm up after a brisk walk on the coastal path in penarth....homely and welcoming, worth another visit with the kids for the adjacent playground & place for them to use bikes /scooters.....

I love the bunch of Grapes! Excellent quality food, always delicious! Love their pub quiz interval snacks. A lovely place to spend an evening!

fantastic.... the food was incredible and was brilliantly priced, the drinks were a reasonable price and the staff were nice and made you feel at home.

Visited last night 14/11/2011 food and service great, atmosphere friendly and helpful particularly as I am a coeliac and as such cannot tolerate food containing gluten.We live some 15 miles away but opt for this place whenever we are in the area.

Lovely place! 2 of us went last month and had a great lunch, wonderful ambience, clean in decoration and hygiene and good, professional staff. It must be tried - just don't go too quickly down the Goldcliff road or you'll miss it - and that would be a tragedy!

The Gwyn Arms is a fabulous place to go for a home cooked, beautifully presented meal. The portions are very generous and the quality of the meats etc used is superb. Absolutely fantastic homemade desserts such as raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake. An excellent welcome and very family friendly. Meals are very well priced and well worth it. Best place to eat in the area without a doubt. We travel half an hour by car to get here as in the neath/Swansea are there is nothing that compares to it.

we went there on Friday the 4.11.2011 and i would not recommend spending your hard earned money there

I went to Porth looking for the crispy cod as i saw it won the best in wales, it isn't in Porth. I did find it, wish i hadn't now cod and chips was more like fat and sponge. if this is the best the rest must be ....... useless. Wish I had 5p bag to stop the fat messing up car mat. real awful stuff

I dine here regularly and must say it is an absolute gem. Excellent food and good service in a proper restaurant setting! Love it!
