it was only OK, very expensive, has a very small ham salad, very small prawn salad and 2 small teas cost £16.50 i expected plenty of salad but only got lettuce toms and cucumber, wont be going again.

meals now gone up from prices stated on here now 2 for £12.00. My lasagna had little meat in it mainly pasta and white sauce , my wife's corned beef pie pastry was rubbery , prob because of to much egg wash but the filling was nice but my brother had something off the specials board which was meatballs and a tomato sauce on tagliatelle. the meat balls were tasty but the pasta was badly cooked. When most people cook pasta they use boiling water with a little oil to stop it sticking together then drain and rinse in boiling water then re drain to serve . His pasta was a generous portion but was completely congealed into one large lump and was also undercooked . It was inedible . complaint made. apparently the cook was told but no apology offered from the kitchen but front of house staff were polite. We were also sat in what they call the back room . There is a door off there into a small store room . The door kept opening and a draught came in causing it to be chilly. i went to close it . There appears to be a door to the outside and this store room was quite unkept where housekeeping is concerned. Lock it or clean it basically. It was filthy. I was sat like 5 feet from this area and the pubs baby high chair was placed in front of this of this door albeit there as stored not in usage. There were also slug / snail trails over the carpet . in all honesty we almost walked out before the meal arrived ! Also the gents loos going off this area leave something to be desired. I walked out saying i would not use them and someone else who was a customer said there was a loo at the other end of the pub. I found it very near to the kitchens and walked in . I was appaulled . The cublcle pan was chock ablock with unflushed feaces and soiled tissue paper and a clear glass window not frosted there was also a strong smell of urine. I went back to the other loo had a pee and we gladly left. Before doing so i commented on the genys loos to be told that there had been some rugbu boys in at lunchtime ...It was now 7pm why had the problem not been dealt with ???? Do not the staff check the state of the facilities? This place has great potential but until its realised Im not going back they can keep their white plastic windows and dirty carpets for someone else.

Fantastic salmon and prawn in a sauce with salad and jacket potato delicious too full for the delicious sweet that same of our group had thank you [Derek and Shelia party]

If u r looking for the best coffee, sandwiches with a smile and not served by robots like some coffee chain shops then this 1 for u . I recommend it Just ask for Oz (the 1 who looks like James Cordon) he will look after u

Highly recommend this up market restaurant which serves absolutely brilliant food, served by friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere.

Beautiful surroundings and friendly staff. Complimentary poppadoms on arrival with dips - and an unusual green coconut dip which was very nice. Prompt service - only down side was that the curry was more oily than sauce/gravy. We had a lovely time there.

Cosmo is great! I went there for a friend`s Bday dinner. I enjoy spending time in spacious and beautiful places- Cosmo stood up to my expectations. Additionally, food was first class - everything freshly prepared in front of my eyes, so no chance that a defrosted veg or meat landed on my plate:) I would recommend grilled pork dumplings, sushi and deserts - I could eat them all at once.

Great food with a great menu and large potions .the beer and atmosphere was friendly and fun highly recommend wish my local was this good

Visited this pub today at 3.30 pm. Tried door. Locked. Looked derelict to me. Was hoping to get Samuel Smiths in Wales

What a transformation from a run down bikers beer stop to a smart tasteful and inviting Welsh country Pub. Service excellent and food as good as any of the top rated restaurants in the Area. Did Sunday lunch and enjoyed it more than the TA its a must off today to taste the Evening menu. give it try or your missing out if you don't.

Failed to live up to expectation. While the food & price was OK, I had been led to believe it was one of the finer Indian cuisine restaurants around. I have had much better within a 2 mile radius & exceptional a couple of times within a 10 mile radius. The service left a little to be desired on the evening!

This restaurant is just as an Italian eatery should be, warm, welcoming and cheery. The staff are all upbeat and happy to chat if that's what you like.The food is good quality and plenty of it.There's a lovely atmosphere there every time I visit.

This really is the best chippy in Barry. The food is always fresh and the service is friendly.

stayed in this hotel for the last 2 yrs, going back this summer 4 a long weekend. what a fab hotel, family run, friendly faces, great food at a good price . what more do u want !!! great outdoor area 4 the children 2 play, with a nice seating area! i recommend this hotel , you'll enjoy you stay there!

This place has gone down the drain very quickly. Since the young boy has left the service and standard of the restaurant has gone done very quickly. The communication with the other waiters is very very poor. The restaurant is often left with no waiters in the front. The staff are not interested in the customers and prefer to read papers and gossip. The part time staff seem very illiterate. The restaurant is also very cold and when empty can get colder. When ordering on the phone, the language barrier is very obvious and has resulted in wrong meals a number of times. I SHALL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THE BENGAL LANCER EVER AGAIN. Recommendation to the Bengal lancer. Bring back the old staff as soon as possible!!!

Nice place, great food.. Table service non existent but had a lovely night there..
