Best chips I've tasted (apart from the ones my grandmother used to cook - in lard over an open fire). Portions rather small but taste is SUPERB. Chips are crisp and perfectly cooked.

Colins Fish Bar – BlackwoodAfter having lunch there last week which was great, i went back last night for the evening meal. It was lovely staff were friendly and able to recommend a meal for my partner to eat. Great atmosphere and food was delicious. My bill came to £58 which included two starters, two main courses, a bottle of house wine which were £11.50 each and a couple of shorts at the end of the evening.
Mamma Mia – SwanseaUtterly appalling experience last night, and several members of our party who had the 24oz Mixed Grill have taken ill this morning! Contacted Environmental Health, Trading Standards and Consumer Direct - this place is a disgrace, should be shut down and the Owner is a rude, inept individual with a view to taking your money and running!
Railway Inn – Treharrisexcellent. Try the nam breads. Spot on for good service and friendly staff. KEEP IT UP.
Masala – LlanelliFor me the Farmers Arms is superb, not only is the food 5* but the staff are as good as the food, every my wife and I go the greeting could not be better, if you have never been you do not know what you are missing. Merle & Robert
Farmers Arms – BridgendSuper food with a very warm welcome! Cosy atmosphere where you are treated like one of the family! Oh Wednesdays poker nights are not to be missed with free food to top it all off ;-). Very highly recommended
The Tilers Arms – AbertilleryThe Rising Sun Inn in Abersychan is a lovely cottage style inn. The car park was full so our expectations were high. The sun was shining so we ventured into the bar to get some drinks to take to the garden. The landlady was the first member of staff we saw – she was rude in her manner and would look more professional if she were wearing a uniform. All the other staff was friendly and polite. We were taken to our table in the restaurant area – the first thing I noticed was that the carpet was dirty and obviously hadn’t been cleaned from the night before. There were dried peas and remnants of chips and crumbs. Our starters came I had the butternut squash soup which was really nice. My partner had breaded garlic mushrooms – she said they were really greasy and you could see the oil running out of them as she put her fork in. One of them actually had so much oil in them that they burnt her mouth! Our main meals came; I had the pork and my partner the chicken! These were accompanied by tasteless vegetables, tasteless gravy and the meat was dry and bland. The Yorkshire puddings looked homemade but they were dry and also bland! The dessert was nice... coffee and chocolate cake – obviously not homemade because I’ve seen it in other restaurants. It’s fair to say we won’t be visiting again! Which is a shame because it's a gorgeous pub!
Rising Sun Inn – PontypoolI love the mango house, we regularly go there and use their take away service, i couldn't recommend it enough. Superb!
Mango House – Monmouthffresh restaurant was great when we visited it. Locally sourced products, great cooking and reasonably priced wine and located in the Wales Millennium Centre.
Ffresh at the Wales Millennium Centre – CardiffThe best restaurant in the WORLD (Well the country anyway) delish food lovely owners very friendly HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO TRY THE KLEFTIKO, Very reasonable price good night out in tenby and you fancy some food....don't waste money at the pizza shop go to mykonos
Mykonos Restaurant – TenbyIts a lack of a recommendation im afraid. possibly the worst fish and chips ive had in a long while. we were tempted to try to make sure we werent missing out on a 'local gem', but were met with what can only be politely described as a very poor version of fish and chips. Portions were meagre, cod and chips very greasy and unpleasant. didnt finish in the end. A positive?.... we were put off fish and chips for a while which helped the waistline!. sorry guys, just not up to scratch.
Victoria Fish and Chips – CardiffGood food we go there a lot, lots of choice but I must say the food is very nice and its fresh.
Toby Cavery Killay – Swanseabest restaurant ever
Masala – Llanellifantastic place to go for Indian
Masala – Llanelliwhat a shit place to go for food
Ali Raj Brasserie – LlanelliCafe Jazz is a real gem right in the heart of Cardiff city centre with realistically priced food, with the added attraction of live music most nights which can be accessed for free if you are eating. The lamb shank and the salmon are my particular favourites as well as the modestly priced cheese board. Another attraction is the fact they they have a bring your own wine policy,( 1 bottle per person) and just £1.50 corkage. The staff are brilliant and go out of their way to make your visit memorable. If you've not visited yet check it out !!
Cafe Jazz @ The Sandringham Hotel – CardiffLovely little pub, landlady was friendly and welcoming and the facilities good. Would definitely visit again.
