Sunday lunch was probably the tastiest I have had in years. The flavours were superb. At £14 for two courses, it was more expensive than others in the area and probably why we were able to get a table without booking.

Do you remember the advert on television that showed the couple checking out of the hotel and were charged for seeing the sunset so they declined the bill been stapled to the credit card receipt in case they got charged for her it? Here is the restaurant equivalent!! The description is The Beech Tree Inn is a restaurant designed and priced for the times we live in. A very confusing and bland menu shows that you pay £14- 17 pound for your piece of meat and some form of potatoes and then all sauces are £1.75 on top and a small bowl of salad is £2.75, other vegetables are just as pricey so you are looking at greater that £20 per head for what was presented as a bland uninteresting meal. The starters were not much better. My children scoffed the bread that was put on the table and we were told the extra bread was another £0.95 , I felt like asking for a doggy bag to take the remaining butter with us but refrained from the temptation. Sweets are £4.95. To describe on the website to say you are saving money is disingenuous to say the least except if you go for lunch and have no extras whatsoever. Beware- you have been warned.

Don’t go there whatever you do!! Went there on a Sunday and the Buffet was absolutely disgusting! There service was terrible due to the fact that there is one guy, presumably the owner running the front. The restaurant is also very cold and I had to keep my jacket on during my stay there. We had to ask the waiter for drinks and our drinks arrived late because he was attending to other people who I’m sure had the same idea as us. All in all a very bad and disgusting experience at this restaurant. I’m not surprised they are so quiet! They really need to change otherwise the consequences are dire!

Bengal Lancer – Llanelli

Absolutely fantastic value for money. Must try Chicken Tikka. Recommend any time.

Kismet Tandoori Restaurant – Cardiff
Mellisa Chowder

What a load of Rubbish. The head waiter who took our order had very bad breath. The two skinny boys there were just perverting on the younger ladies in the restaurant and the food and service is disgusting. The waiter was literally throwing the food on our table and didn’t even seem bothered. The pricing is also very expensive. Truly this restaurant is fuckin shit

Masala – Llanelli

This is the best restaurant in Cardiff. My husband and I have been going there since it opened. The lunch time special is a bargain and the evening menu is to die for. The staff are amazing it is a family run restaurant I would be amazed if no one likes this restaurant

Madeira Restaurant – Cardiff
Blu

Without doubt the finest curry restaurant in Cardiff. The food is 5 stars+,I have been going there for 38 years and have always had fantastic service from the staff. The owner 'Abdul' has been there for all that time and still does some cooking. If you want a truly authentic Indian meal at a reasonable price, look no further.

Eat here! It's as simple as that. The food is always good, (amazing actually), the menu changes frequently, the serving staff are great and pretty switched on and the wine list excellent. We have eaten here way too many times to count and never been in the slightest bit disappointed. The chef is first class and really knows his stuff!! We recommend a lunch time visit to the brasserie - again a really great gastronomic treat and NOT EXPENSIVE AT ALL!! As Nike say, "Just do it".

The Dragon Hotel – Swansea

We stayed in Tenby for 3 days and visited Mykonos twice, the food was fantastic, the best meal we had tasted in a long time. The staff were fantastic and so friendly. I wish they would move to Milton Keynes, we would be regular customers. Highly recommended.

The Beef dinner is the best, the gravy is a rich & good consistency. The Roast spuds are delicious & all yorky puds are home made- yum yum in my tum!!

Caesars Arms – Cardiff

Have been to The Star a few occasions, mainly family events . I have found the food to be of good quality, but very surprised how expensive this place is, basically for a small pub in a village would you expect to sit with locals in a small table and spend well over £20 for steak and chips ?

The Star Inn – Bridgend
Charlie

A Fantastic venue. Friendly, charming and fantastic food. It gets very busy on weekend so make sure you book as we have been unable to get in as it is very popular. The lunch menu and specials are fantastic Try the Rib eye sizzler!! A well run pub restaurant!!

Hollybush Inn – Treharris

wow never wrote a review before but this is well deserved! someone who's behind this wonderful place has got there game together! really really good, I'm just glad there is still a place which hasn't been bought out by a chain!

La Trattoria – Pontyclun
Petekr

Just have to let you know that it is one of the best all round Italian restaurants ever! Plenty of the best food on the the plates for "healthy" appetites and women go weak at the knees for the desserts! Always a treat to go there and plenty of parking just outside - what more could you want?!?

Vittorio Restaurant – Newport
Paul

I bought a take away, a very good deal.. the prices are very cheap and the quantity is very good.. Lots to choose from and the food had varieties and flavours.. their restaurant looked very good.. should go for a meal this week end.. The taste of the food was definitely different from other Indian takeaway and restaurants.. Good deals are available for students aswell.. Great value for money.. good taste, different varieties.. will definitely be a regular

Punitha’s – Cardiff

What a delight a restaurant that really cares about food and the authenticity of its ingredients.I've visited Jamie Olivers restaurant in Bath and Mamma Mia easily compares in quality and value. Why give yor money to a national chain eating place in Wind st when just around the corner there's a real gem!I will return.

Mamma Mia – Swansea

we went three times in our weeks holiday and wish we had not bothered to go any where else, the food is excellent, the lamb was to die for, the liver melted in our mouths, a good selection of starters and desserts, very clean and the wine was good value, the chef must be worth his weight in gold, and Julie just topped it all off. carolyn, bill and andrew
