Terrible! The salad was wilted and stale. The coffee was weak because they put water in the cup before the coffee! I have never seen that done before. It was undrinkable.

Cafe Nova @ Beales – KendalJust been tonight - six of us - lovely meal - we all enjoyed it - the only fault was even though we went early young girls in the conservatory/dining room made really loud noise the whole time. We could not hear each other talk and no one asked them to be a little bit quieter, which would have made the evening perfect .
Queens Hotel – St BeesBest chateaubrioand I have ever had. Staff were great, price was spot on, would truely recommend to anyone.
The Wild Boar Inn, Grill & Smokehouse – WindermereIf you are in Kendal and you want a lite bite, or something more substantial Charlie's is the best in town, order at the counter then take a seat, it is usually busy so you may have to wait a short while because everything is freshly made. With good food and cheerful service it is the place to eat.
Charlies Cafe Bar – KendalVery tasty meatballs and the wife had a veggie Stroganoff. The area was having a powercut but they still managed to accommodate us. Very helpful and friendly service from the young team.
The Prince of Wales – Broughton-in-FurnessThe best beer in Christendom. Deservedly CAMRA pub of the year 2013. No food to speak of though, apart from cheese toasties and a fine selected of sweeties. It's all about the beer.
Manor Arms Hotel – Broughton-in-FurnessGreat selection of teas and coffees to drink in the premises or buy to take away. We bought some coffee and a mug for a gift.
Gillams Tearoom – UlverstonLovely meals, perfect service by outstanding staff. thank you.
Booths Cafe – KendalFound this place on Sugarvine and was very pleased we did. Stayed the night and had a great meal too. I loved the venison cottage pie which was so much better than a traditional one. My partner very much enjoyed his Hake with Chorizo too. We enjoyed a nice Rioja to accompany the meal. Service was good and my man liked the Ales from the four poster bed bar!
Queens Head Hotel – WindermereWe called at Brambles after a walk on the fells. The welcome was warm and inviting for both us and our two cocker spaniels. The coffee and scones were delicious. We will definitely be visiting Brambles on our future visits to Windermere!
Brambles Coffee Bar – WindermereHad a great lunch in the lovely beer garden of this pub. Good large portions, my chicken and ham suet was spot on. Good Deuchars Ale too. Will return.
Brown Cow – Barrow-in-FurnessAward wining bakery with a great little cafe too. Have used them for outside catering and regularly get take outs. Vey much enjoyed my Chees and Leeks on Toast last time I ate in.
Broughton Village Bakery and Cafe – Broughton-in-FurnessLove this place!! Cakes are gorgeous, the bread is amazing and the staff are really lovely. Try the cinnamon swirls (to die for!)
Broughton Village Bakery and Cafe – Broughton-in-FurnessBest fish and chips we have had in years! place doesn't look that great but it's the food that counts!
Chippy Bank – UlverstonGreat spot in an olde worlde pub we found on Sugarvine. We both enjoyed our lunch and a couple of beers. Would return when in the area.
