Every time we go to Whitby we have F&C at the Magpie as they are the best. We have tried the others but the Magpie Haddock, chips and mushy peas can’t be beaten. Fantastic food. Lovely setting.

I grew up in Asia and absolutely love Korean food - have never found a place in the north with such delicious and authentic dishes. The staff is wonderful too and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend!

Very good meal indeed. Grilled Salmon and Halibut with Samphire and Garlic potatoes, perfectly cooked fish, good value, excellent service, online booking works well, good choice of wine too. Fantastic venue.

A cosy well-located little traditional Italian in the centre of Morley which attracted me from my study of TripAdvisor, and did not disappoint. I had the chicken liver pate and the accompanying bread tasted specially amazing. Mains was sea bass fillets and sautéed potatoes with a lemon butter sauce that worked well together, however, the accompanying boiled veg (at my request as a side) not so much. The dessert was tiramisu which I felt was more akin to the supermarket variety and seemed to lack authenticity, but that was my opinion and I am not very sure of myself here. Service was prompt and the atmosphere ‘rustic chic’, with convenient parking. As a visitor from London I doubt I’ll be back again as I like to sample different places unless one is particularly outstanding, but would encourage potential diners to give it a go.

Visited you twice, during our 10 day holiday, we couldn't complain about anything on both of our visits. Food and service excellent. Our only mention is that we had the haddock,& prawns in a creamy leek sauce, which was served with a potatoe or salad dish, we would have preferred to have crusty bread & butter, as the side dish was too much for us all to eat.

Food excellent and staff excellent No Korean beer …

Came here with my parents when they dropped me off in leeds for university and I couldn’t have had a better last night with them. Absolutely incredible food for great prices and the staff were all amazing, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend this restaurant and I can’t wait to go back here!

It’s not called the best fish and chips in Yorkshire for nothing! We’ve been visiting Whitby, and dining at Magpie’s Cafe for years and the quality of the food and the service has always been excellent. The fish is beautifully cooked and flaky, the batter light and crispy and the chips delicious. Treat yourself to a large portion of mushy peas as the perfect accompaniment to a perfect meal.

First visit for 13 years and did not disappoint. Service was lovely and the food was exceptional!

Visited Magpie Cafe on Tuesday, a4th September. We were staying in Scarborough and travelled up by bus because we never miss an opportunity to our 'special' venue in Whitby. Booked in for 1600 hours. It was pouring, really pouring. with rain and we almost swam round Whitby but our spitits were high as we dreamed of our 'prawn and crab' starter. As always really enjoyed, it came up to expectations. The mains were fish pie ans plaice fillet (sadly no skate available). We both enjoyed ore excellent meal no room for afters. Our reception by the staff was great and they must have been tired towards the end of a difficult day. To avoid customers standing outside in the rain they were taking bookings and arranging to call people when their table was ready. This visit could have been so difficult but the cheerfulness of the staff and the, as always, splendid food still gave us a day to remember for all the right reasons.

Great food , lovely ambiance and average cost. Highly recommend.

Best batter in whitby! A must for your fish n chips. We booked but you can also queue. A wide variety on the menu including champagne! I had the lobster thermador which was amazing.

One of the best Ramen! I had chicken gyoza too…! Yuuuuum! Definitely worth to check this place out! If you not sure what you want to eat just simply ask. Great customer service. I take advice regarding menu and it was fantastic!
