Went for a family birthday meal on Sunday. Just called on passing by. Lovely! Busy but good service regardless! Good meal! Good value for money! Another birthday on Wednesday and will be calling again!

The Manor Farm – HullThis is a seriously good restaurant which is beautifully set out. The food is of a very high standard and the service is fabulous.3 course Sunday lunch is £21 and is very good indeed with generous portions. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed. The A la Carte menu is just as good. Have eaten here many times and it's certainly my favourite by miles !!!
Farmers Boy Inn and Restaurant – Huddersfieldsuperb food and service good value for money nice restaurant feeling and super wood burner fire going would defo visit again
Gulshan Tandoori Restaurant – YorkWent to the Akash last night - will never be going again. the waiter who seated us didn't understand us. We went up for the buffet and it was cold, the curries had all grease floating on top of them an were watery, all in all not a very nice experience
Aakash Restaurant – CleckheatonI was in a party that attended the Foxhouse on Saturday 8th Oct and I must say that it was excellent, from the quality of the food guest ale and service. I was impressed with the sourcing of the food and knowledge of the waiter serving us, when asked where the venison was from immediately the farms name and location was given same with the steaks, fantastic. Our party found the prices to be very competitive taking the quality of the food we were served, I was reminded of an old saying "you get what you pay for" and this certainly rang true with our meal. My only criticism is they need a bigger car park as we had to park on the roadside up the street. Well done the Foxhouse, we all definitely will be back!!
Foxhouse Inn – HolmfirthLooking at the reviews from April last year and i would agree with everything that was said. Since then the prices have increased by 40% to 50% and the food is still the same. My favourite meal was always the three lamb chops this went from £8 to £14 and now as disappeared from the menu.
Foxhouse Inn – Holmfirthwent to this hotel for a meal on a Saturday evening- that's 2 couples mid 50s and quite discerning in our choice of food and wines. Parking was an issue as the street outside was totally full and managed to take the last place in the car park- minor grumble. We were made most welcome by David who could not do more to explain the menus/food etc and clearly is well knowledged in these matters. Some have said they find that overbearing but we did not find that to be the case- he was a good front man and clearly had all under tight control. The reception room is very comfortable but the strange modern paintings seemed out of keeping with the rest of the house/decor, Some are for sale- family connection perhaps? The food was stunning, not great portions but the quality, taste and presentation cannot be faulted. probably one the best we have had in the Richmond area. If you are looking for rustic portions this is not the place for you. The Wine Flight which allows differing wines with each course proved of use for 2 of our party and good value. The dining room can only cater for about 14 persons but it is well presented and of the highest standard in cleanliness and comfort. Coffee in the lounge should have finished the meal on a high but I was surprised that this was served in plain white cups, without petit fours - the lasting impression of a meal can ofter be whats is recalled. At £3.50 a cup I found that most unusual. Decent china and a cafetiere with a selection of goodies would have sealed the meal. However a great experience and for an occasion/celebratory meal we shall return. Thanks to the Frenchgate and keep it up.
Frenchgate Restaurant and Hotel – RichmondOne word sums this place up; "wow" Everything you could want from a pub. We visited during a recent holiday and can't disagree more with the comments of Andrew in Cleck. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming and the food was simply fantastic, so much so we ate there both nights of our stay in the area. Really well worth a visit, please don't be put off by its slightly off the beaten track location!
Wheatsheaf Inn – Cleckheaton1970 decor. Non enthusiastic bar staff no food so avoid for food go for cheap beer and basic surroundings
Willow Tree Inn – NorthallertonThe service was awful. Really slow. Unfriendly staff. Food was ok but for £70 for a meal for two I would expect a lot more. You can get tastier Japanese food at Fuji Hiro for a fraction of the price. I wont be going again.
Chino Latino – Leeds City CentreI moved to stainland in 2011 as my husband Alan had lived here for many years, I wanted a local country pub and the Duke of York offers a homely feel to a pub, where everybody makes you welcome and even as new comers we felt like we had been friends with people for years. As we are now regulars to the Duke of York and we consider James and Maria as our friends. They offer excellent service and always have a smile so we decided to have our wedding reception at the pub on 17.9.11. We invited 50-60 people and all our guests were made to feel welcome. The buffet was excellent as always, maria's cooking is fab. Maria and James had a smile for everybody all day, our guests stayed till late into the evening and now my family feel part of the local pub life. We had a fantastic day and would highly recommend the Duke for any functions or if your passing just call in for a meal or a drink. Maria and James will make you welcome and you will never be short of people to talk to when you go into the pub. Pauline and Alan Whitehead
Duke of York – HalifaxLooking for a breakfast recently,I called into Pasta Romagna. I felt very let down by the quality, as the cappuccino was very week and the fried eggs where over cooked and brown from old fat. The place seemed to live in the past. I definitely will not be visiting again .
Pasta Romagna – Leeds City CentreFancying a curry take away, I rang Kebabeesh recently. My request to deliver to the pub I was drinking in caused no problems. The Mixed Thali I ordered arrived promptly and was delicious.
Kebabeesh – BradfordHansa's food is sublime! I have eaten here several times and every time I go back I am always amazed by the depth of flavour, vibrancy and sheer quality of the dishes. It is a wonderful place, with an extremely friendly and welcoming atmosphere. If you haven't been, you should definitely go!
Hansa’s Cookery School – Leeds City CentreBooked a table last Thursday for Saturday night at 8.00 pm. Arrived early, which was a good thing as parking is very limited. They didn't have my reservation on the list, so was asked to wait at the bar. After about 15 minutes wait we got a table, and were told by the waiter he would fetch the specials board. 10 minutes later I reminded them, we were still waiting for it. Ordered & when the food arrived, it was hot, obviously freshly prepared, and generous portions. Were delighted to see one waiter, Gus, who had been at Bella Roma in Wakefield for many years. He remembered us, and his attention made what hadn't started out too good into a very pleasant night. A couple of little things like the offer of a drink on the house, and, unexpectedly, a plate of fresh fruit at the end of the meal was a nice touch. Think next time we go (and there will be a next time) we'll get a taxi, but overall, for a very busy place, well done Valentinos.
Valentinos Italian Restaurant – WakefieldWell we must have been unlucky. ! My husband took me to The Railway for a birthday treat as we have been there before. Last time we went the service was very slow but we thought we would give them a second chance. We were shown to a table which rocked all over and had to ask for beer mats to steady it. Then we waited for ages to make our order, The food as usual was lovely but after the plates for our main course where removed we seem to have been forgotten . More than 20 mins later still no one asked if we wanted a sweet or another drink ( which we did ) and we gave up and went to pay the bill in the bar. The woman behind the bar was on the phone chatting to a friend and to be honest we could have walked out and they wouldn't have noticed. ! Eventually she put the phone down and we remarked on what had happened and we weren't happy so she didn't charge us the £2 extra surcharge each. Wow ! The food is very good at the railway but I dont think we'll bother going back now. No one should have to wait that long in a restaurant. !!
Railway Inn – HullHaving worked for mr Kong at yum yum undertaking various electrical work from the toilets to the kitchen and having my dinner made for me then returning on an evening for a meal with my girlfriend, I can confirm that the food is totally awesome, the kitchen is spotless, the food is prepared and the kitchen is thoroughly cleaned each morning and the chef, mr Kong is awe inspiring to watch cooking. He is amazing as is the food. I will be going back to eat here time after time.
Yum Yum Thai – Wetherbywe live in oldham and visited Bradford for the day googled for somewhere to eat, this pub came up and we weren't disappointed, the service of the young lady behind the bar was so pleasant and very nice, and then the food came it was lovely, we will be coming again wen we come back to Bradford.......
