I really enjoyed the food at Samis when we went for my friends 30th birthday last week, the portion sizes were good and the menu was small enough so you were not bombarded with choices but large enough to offer good variety. However I thought the service could have been alot better. We had pre booked in advanced a table for 18 which they accommodated for us by putting us upstairs. The room was nice and we were the only people up there (probably for the best as we were making quite a lot of noise) but it took about 25 minuets for someone to come and take our order. When a waitress did arrive the menu is numbered so it was just a matter of telling her the number of your dish, we all went for a starter and a main but the waitress missed of 4 starters form the order which had to then be cooked and brought up after the rest of us had finished and then a different 4 mains were forgotten and a waitress had to come up again to re take the order as the rest of us were eating. When the food did arrive everyone seemed to finish there meal and enjoy them as well. They also didn't mind that we had brought our own birthday cake which they lit the candles and brought to the table. My recommendation is thumbs up for small groups but thumbs down for large ones.

The New Ellington restaurant is attached to a small hotel on a quiet street in Leeds. When you enter, there is a lovely airy atrium bar, claiming to sell the widest variety of gins on offer. The cocktail menu is also pretty extensive. All the ones I have tried have been great. Try them before dinner, or even if you’re just passing by – the house specials are especially good. The décor is very 1920’s glamour – very jazzy and feels very elegant and classy, with black and white photos in the bar and stylised pictures downstairs in the restaurant. In the restaurant, the atmosphere is good with staff on hand but not intrusive. The menu is fairly extensive, with about 10 starters and mains each. The starters are around about £5-6 and the mains from £12-16, which is fantastic value for the quality of the meal. There is also a changing “Taste of Yorkshire” Menu with 3 options for each course. This is really good at £15.95 for 2 courses or £18.95 for 3. The portions on the menu are exactly the same size and quality as those on the a la carte, which is very refreshing. Dishes are beautifully presented with really interesting combinations of flavours and very filling. My particular favourite is the suckling pig done 3 ways with “apple textures” and the chocolate fondant with pistachio ice cream and pistachio brittle is a knock out. I’d definitely recommend this for a relaxed evening out.

I have been coming to Aldo's for many years and i have never been disappointed. Great atmosphere, excellent food and value for money. So much choice on the menu there is something for everyone. YUM!!!

My wife and I visited Millstones for the first time yesterday for a birthday celebration at which we were two of about 80 guests. Despite the numbers the entire afternoon went very well, helped enormously by the very efficient running of the event by the staff. There was a good selection on the menu and the (warm) food was piping hot. There was a carvery with three meats, all nicely cooked and tender...and my wife remarked that the vegetables, of which there was a wide selection, were the nicest she had ever had at a carvery meal. Excellent!

good choice on the menu and always something different to choose from on the special board. good value for money and great service with a nice relaxed atmosphere well worth a visit

I LOVE Aldos, i have been going for over 10 years and never had a bad meal. The atmosphere is amazing and staff are very polite, helpful and forthcoming with suggestions if you cant make up your mind! The menu is pure Italian charm....from delicious mozzarella to tender pork fillet!!! I look forward to every meal there and would recommend anyone to try it!

I love Aldo's and the new prosecco bar is fantastic!! The bar & restaurant is great for any occasion, the food is always very nice and good value and the staff are great too!! Thats why I tend to go a couple of times a month. Well worth a visit.

Just wanted to say went to Aldo's in Cleckheaton last night for my daughter's 18th birthday meal with family. Food fantastic as always and lovely family atmosphere from all the staff and owner.

I've been visiting aldo's for many years and it never fails to please. whether you want a romantic meal for two, a good evening out with friends, or a quick bite for lunch. this is perfect with good staff and friendly atmosphere and the best tomato garlic bread you will ever eat aldo's is the place to try, trust me you will return again and again

Came here for the early bird menu. Other than having to wait a little too long for my drink (had to ask for it again after finishing my starter, and the waitress had clearly forgotten all about it) the service was excellent and the food delicious, as well as beautifully presented. Would visit again.

My wife, family and I have eaten here more than once and never been disappointed, it is a bit of a drive for us but well worth it, better than pub food standard and always a friendly welcome from 'mine hosts'. Lovely views from the beer garden in the warm weather, roaring fire when it is cold. well recommended.

Myself and a few friends who eat out quite often called into the sportsman's last Saturday night. The place was "packed" to say the least. Luckily we had booked a table as the whole pubs really busy and the atmosphere was electric. I had a tart of goats cheese and red onion chutney which came served on a magnificently presented, followed by Seabass in lemon and caper butter which i chose from the fish specials board, the fish was lovely and succulent. My friends all had 10 0z sirloin steaks which were cooked to perfection. Value for money and great looking food. definitely coming again.

what a great place to eat 6adults for a birthday meal made to feel very welcome by the staff the food is of the highest quality the steaks are unreal you do not need a knife only a fork to cut them such good quality is the food no need to travel to Leeds or other surrounding areas for a great meal

The rumours about "Rustico" buying Bella Roma out have proved to be true after all. The last twice I & my wife have been there the usual owners were not about, and things have been deteriorating. The Creme Brulee was not caramelised on one occasion, the roast potatoes had been re-heated & were slushy & greasy, the fruit crumble has been removed from the menu, and the service has got slower. The waitresses seem to be disorganised and running about, on 2 occasions banging into my wife's chair whilst she was eating. I have praised Bella Roma on this & other review sites many times, and recommended you to many people. I'm afraid that after almost 20 years it's time to try elsewhere.

Went for birthday a few weeks ago and couldn't recommend it more. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and equally pleasant staff. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
