We stayed for a weekend at the old swan inn, we were very impressed by the food, and our hosts made us feel most welcome indeed. We will without doubt add it to our list of weekends away.

The Old Swan – SkiptonFantastic food, huge portions and good customer service
Aya Sophia Greek & Mediterranean Cuisine – Hebden BridgeI took my Mum to La Rue as on the few occasions I had been I have to say the service and food was excellent. Unfortunately this time there were a few issues that spoilt what could have been a great meal. We were booked in at 6.30, being the first in we were seated in the most secluded corner,as it was not busy I could not see why we couldn't be seated in a vacant 'window seat'. The starters, pate and terrine were lovely and decent portions. The fish stew again was delicious, the only fault I could pick was the 5 min delay in the veg side dish being brought to our table, with the numerous staff not seeming hurried. That aside we enjoyed the main as much as the starter. However it went downwards when we decided to order a pudding, the trio of strawberries, perhaps they should re think the spoons used to serve as the elderflower jelly was difficult to eat from a tall shot glass with a large desert spoon. The BIG problem was the eton mess - I couldn't quite put my finger on it at first but soon realised there was a garlic taste to the cream, the head waitress took it away and suggested the cream may be off -a little off putting perhaps but she did come back agreeing on the garlic. She suggested that the 'mashing impliment may have been used to crush garlic too. That was fine but we were only offered the dessert not be charged for - we left with a bitter taste in our mouths, more to do with the customer service/relations than the actual quality of food.

Stefanos – KeighleyRed Chilli 2 is the best restaurant second to none. The staff are always courteous and polite You're always given a warm welcome. Tried others but now would never go anyway else. Food is absolutely superb. Love it!
Red Chilli II – WakefieldJust been to the Kaye Arms for a meal and was extremely disappointed, we had to wait ages for the waitress to come and take our order, then we did not realise that you did not get vegetables with your meal, I had lamb it cost nearly £18-00 and although it tasted nice I was starving, we were not made aware that you had to pay separate for vegetables, i asked for the bill 3 times and eventually had to go to the bar and ask again, it cost us £170-00 for 4 and we came home hungry, no value for money, I could have made the meal for less than £50-00 really disappointed with the service, waitress was miserable as sin. I think you ought to look at your prices and what you give think I had maybe 2 spoonfuls of mash under my lamb, we were not the only ones to be disappointed people were complaining in the car park too!
The Kaye Arms – WakefieldCall me old fashioned but I always believed that chicken was a key ingredient in a "chicken" paella. Not at the tapas tree. My 1st dish of paella contained not a single piece of chicken. After complaining and returning it to the kitchen the 2nd one they brought out only had 2 meager 1cm cubes in it. You really should have to send something back a 3rd time. Oh, and I caught the waiter coming out of a cubicle in the gents without washing his hands afterwards. Nice. 2 of our party of 5 had D & V the next day.
The Tapas Tree – ShipleyWe have been visiting our 2nd home as Asram calls it for about 12 years. Whenever family or friends come to stay with us they now also insist that we all visit The Sheesh! I really am starting to worry about my own ability to cook, but never mind. The service and friendly staff are the Best you could ever come across, especially Azlam who always manages the bar with an excellent manner. We are always made so at home by all the staff and feel like we are part of Azrams family. The food is the Best in Yorkshire, probably the best Asian cuisine in England. Nothing is too much trouble. We once called in for a meal and found it closed as it was being re decorated, Azram was in making sure everything was going to plan and spotted us outside, he realised that he had two hungry and disappointed customers, so what did he do? Opened the doors and invited us in to share the evening meal that he had prepared for the decorators, no fee and sorry for the inconvenience. Once again fab food! We are now planning our daughters wedding and the place she has chosen to have her wedding buffet is The Sheesh, what more of a recommendation can anyone wish for. First class food, First class service and the most excellent friendly staff, what more can anybody want ???? See you on Thursday Azram xxx
Azram’s Sheesh Mahal – Leeds City CentreVery nice staff (attentive but not overbearing), a lovely family friendly atmosphere, fantastic food, excellent wines, sensible prices...what more could you want ?!?! We've been a few times now and the quality is consistently very high. Highly recommended.
El Bareto – Chapel AllertonNot as special as it thinks - it's a fairly standard Italian with hints of Frankie and Bennys - but provided a nice evening nonetheless. Desserts were especially good.
Tricolos – ScarboroughExcellent, excellent, excellent. Everything is fab. The only problem is it's often very busy so book ahead. Oh and more choice of beers would be nice but that is just nit-picking.
Sukhothai Restaurant – Chapel Allerton – Chapel AllertonI love this place. We were seated next to the bridge, served promptly and given spectacular food every time. The duck and mango bento box, ginger and lime cheesecake and plum wine are especially good, although my friend raved about the teriyaki and the coconut ice cream. Always a pleasure.
