Best pint of Snecklifter in the Country. I was so impressed I had to have a few to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Then I had a few more and fell off the bench! Great pub. friendly Staff

Food is good, as is the decor and the staff. Shame the same can't be said of the manager. I've eaten there several times before Monday and mentioned to the staff the need for food heaters on the tables. When I politely suggested it to the manager he responded with "if you don't like it don't bother coming again". My son, girlfriend and myself were astonished at his extremely arrogant and rude manner and we will certainly not be patronising this establishment again. We live within walking distance so it's a shame but we would NOT recommend this restaurant to others unless they enjoy abuse. One to avoid.

We eat here about once a month. 4 of us went last week had early bird (on till 7.0 p..m) fabulous food, very good service, very pleasant staff. Been Xmas time for works do had the Chinese Banquet absolutely superb and with a DJ and dancefloor every Friday and Saturday it is a great night out in one spot. Eat drink and have a dance. Going tonight @ 6.0 p.m. for early bird(04.05.2010)

I recently visited the Wheatsheaf after it being re-opened with my partner and our 2 year old daughter. It was clean and tidy and the service was fantastic, there was a wide variety on the menu, that much so I didn't know what to choose!! It was served and presented well and tasted gorgeous, in fact I would say it was the best Sunday lunch I had ever eaten!

The Wheatsheaf Inn provided excellent quality food for me and my family, the service was superb and i would recommend it to anyone. It felt like a home away from home!

A welcoming and friendly restaurant. The meals are always of the highest standard. Gradually eating my way through the menu and have yet to be disappointed. I always recommend 'The Sheesh' whenever anybody asks for a decent Indian restaurant.

What a little gem this is - a la carte fine dining and lunchtime menus, set in a beautiful 16th century pub in the tiny village of Brearton. The welcome is always fabulous from the Bleiker family and the father Jurg is the head chef and his food is just delicious. All food is cooked from scratch so gluten free and coeliacs and vegetarians more than welcome, locally reared organic meat and fresh fish all available and the puddings are to die for. They have a choice of seating - from in the lovely garden area, in the conservatory, cosy romantic corners or corporate dining - even weddings and parties! This award-winning restaurant is a must and on our doorstep.

We were on the Leeds Liverpool canal and stopped in Gargrave for dinner. The party included myself and husband along with our two friends. It was quiet in the restaurant so we all decided to have the fish pie. It was absolutely delicious and we all thought the quality and value were terrific. One of my tests for any restaurant which has it on the menu is to order the sticky toffee pudding. Most of the time it is a disappointment but not here. Probably the Best Sticky Toffee Pudding Ever! Fantastic food and not to be missed.

I was very impressed with the menu - a lot of interesting dishes - and the food at this gastro-pub. The arancini (risotto balls) were delicious, as was the rack of lamb, and the apple and blackberry crumble was the first I had had in a long time where the crumble was actually crumbly, as opposed to a heavy lump. Service was a little slow, so go early.

I have had a fantastic meal, as always, at Sheesh Mahal this evening. Their food is amazing, and a huge amount of choice for vegetarians. If you can't see what you want on the menu, ask and they'll try and cook it up for you! We go at least 2 or 3 times a month and have never yet been disappointed. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The prices are very reasonable. Best curry house in Yorkshire (or maybe even the world...)

Went here yesterday 7pm and well disappointed! Food was lovely but the waiter totally ruined the experience and ambience of the place. Twice we were brought the wrong dishes and drinks and when we politely said he tutted and stormed off. Id already had a bit of one of the dishes that wasn't ours as i hadn't noticed at first, brought this up and he simply took the dish to another table, one pork rib missing! Disgraceful.. What a shame as this is a lovely restaurant.
