Myself and my boyfriend visited The Ash Tree on May Bank Holiday. We had never eaten here before but when we popped in for a drink a few weeks ago the food looked lovely. We were not disappointed at all. The food and service was excellent. The staff were very welcoming. My boyfriend had steak pie (proper homemade) with lovely homemade chips. I had a steak baguette, and it was lovely. The food is not over complicated, and does what it says on the tin! It's fresh and v tasty. We really enjoyed it, and will go back. The beer garden is lovely too.

10/10 Been going here for years and have never been disappointed. Excellent food, Excellent staff, Excellent atmosphere, Excellent value for money. I can honestly say the best Indian in Leeds. My partner and I enjoy eating out and can honestly say this restaurant will always be our favourite.

Nicely done out Restaurant, gets busy so recommend that you book as it is a small restaurant. The food on the occasions I have been has been beautiful. I personally highly recommend the Spice of Bengal. It is the best Indian Restaurant in Mirfield in my opinion.

i would NOT recommend alfes.The food was superb but the service was sadly lacking.we found the waitress to be very unaccommodating.i will not be going back!!

I have eaten at the Sheesh Mahal for over 20 years and the standard has never varied "quality and consistency" every time you eat there. You are welcomed by friendly staff and most times Azram will greet you himself as if you are one of the family. Great food great people. You will not be disappointed even if you may have to wait a little for a table.

Went as part of a party of 24 for their set menu. Very impressed by the service (fast and solicitous), portion sizes (plenty of everything for everyone) and the quality of the food. Would have liked a few different options, though.

I would recommend Rico's to anyone. Food is delicious and the staff are really friendly and great with kids!

Very disappointing experience. Service very, very slow. Waited about 45 mins to be asked what we would like to eat and at least 2 other tables of diners who had arrived after us had their orders taken first. Other guests at another table left - wish we had. Food was ok, though have eaten better (wondered just what the 2009 award was awarded for and by whom - looked on leaving but wasn't clear). Didn't take dessert as was worried about how long it would take them to serve. Paid bill using bank card. It was inserted into the machine but then the waiter waltzed off with my card (still in the machine) so had to chase after him to retrieve it. Not good with amount of fraud these days. Shall definitely not be visiting again when we come to Harrogate.

Great food, great service, great decor but great shame that you have to pay to park anywhere near. Also for a restaurant near a busy city centre to be able to compete it shouldn't handicap itself by denying its customers the opportunity to drink alcohol with their meal. No Drinks Licence & your not allowed to take your own drinks in. Sorry but there are too many good Indian Restaurants near by that don't have the drinks ban.

We have been eating at Prashad for a number of years & each time we eat there it is a most amazing experience of truly fantastic Indian food. I could recommend a number of dishes but now having worked my way through 90% of the menu there is not a dish that I wouldn't recommend to my best friend, so I encourage you most sincerely to explore this haven of culinary delight. In addition to the fabulous food I must complement the impeccable service provided by the most friendly people. You are made to feel like good friends calling into their home. I really love telling the staff how much I have enjoyed their food because their faces always light up with a most sincere broad smile. There is great pride taken by all who work there to ensure their customers have a most enjoyable experience. An added bonus is the helpings which are generous plus it is very affordable. Oh yeah by the way..... its totally vegetarian with many vegan & special diets catered for. Although a veggie myself, so this place is a true dining heaven experience I have taken many non-vegetarians who have since raved about the place as much as I.......thanks so much Prashad, this is the BEST EVER eating experience I have had which I keep repeating repeating repeating

We have now made this curry house a regular stop for its atmosphere and quality of food is so good. We have visited again (about our 6th or 7th time since our last report) and it keeps getting better and better, so much so that we are pleased to confirm the status of 10/10 on all ratings offered by the Curry Club. The staff are so friendly and helpful always ensuring that the drinks are topped up and the food is to our liking. Keep up the excellent work.

Upon arriving at the Frenchgate Restaurant I was greeted by David whom made me feel welcome and at home from the moment i had stepped in the front door. The wine list was excellent and even better that David had chosen a wine to accompany each course. The food was amazing and the whole evening was very enjoyable. This is a restaurant that i will be visiting again.

I came across Oswalds last Thursday lunchtime on my way to Thirsk.with my daughter.It is hidden away,but a truly good find. We had 2 courses for £9.95, including coffee. The food was first class,and service was excellent. I work in Leeds City Centre, and this easily compares with Raymond and Jamies restaurants, and a great price too. We ate outside which added to the ambience

On somewhat of a whim, I decided that I wanted to go to Prashad for my birthday. So after finishing work in Huddersfield, I caught the train to Bradford, met up with my wife and we headed on over to Prashad. Being a vegan for over half of my life, I was very excited by the range of food available to me, but this was overshadowed by how stunningly gorgeous it was. Words cannot do it justice, you simply have to taste it to understand! The Hara Bara Kebab, divine, the Rhenghan Bhajia, unbelievable! It just got better the further I went in to the menu! My wife had a Paneer-based dish, and she could not enough either. After we got home today, we both commented on how it was a shame that we lived in Leeds, because we wanted to just get back to Prashad immediately. We will be be back, and very soon!
